[Journey] Gaming News Website

Hi, first I wanna thank you all for this great forum with great information and motivation to succeed. In this journey I will build a gaming news website because I am/was a passionate gamer. I know that this niche is really saturated but there is definitely money to make for sure even right now where esport is getting bigger and bigger.

My plan:
- Build my news website
- Create several social media platforms: Twitter, Facebook Page, Instagram and a YouTube Channel
- To get traffic at the beginning I want to create a several videos and join some related facebook groups to post my articles
- Later of course I want to create some backlinks
- Banking with Adsense / Amazon and maybe a personal Online Shop

What I have done so far:
- bought the domain and hosting(it's a fresh one)
- ordered a logo on Fiverr
- bought newsmagazine theme for Wordpress
- created the facebook page

What I will do the next days:
- finishing the setup of my website - including the the theme into Wordpress and editing it on my needs
- finish the setup of my facebook page
- create the rest of the social media platforms
- writing my first 10-20 articles

My goal:
300$-500$ a month by the end of 2019

I will update this thread every Sunday! For your information this will be a long term journey!

Hi, I got some gaming news websites by myself. Its a huuuuuge niche.

Most important is to provide quality content daily. Also don't underestimate the power of Twitch and YouTube. Those two will drive LOTS of traffic to your website. So it would be a great idea to make a YouTube channel with reviews of applications or games. There are so many games you can download on your smartphone, record and start making reviews.

I am in the gaming niche as well would highly suggest you to start from mobile gaming news. Very easy to rank and often i get sweet offers from companies that want me to advertise their mobile game

gaming niche is very competitive but im sure you can make some good money if you put work in it

I've tried a gaming blog before, I spent about 6 months on it & ended up selling it for around the £500 mark because I just couldn't give it the time.

The best way I found in my short time doing it was to write content that was quite niche, i.e how to fix a particular bug in Skyrim or complete a particular mission in Goat Simulator...

I also stole a lot of old content, there are so many gaming blogs that have just expired & died but have written good content in the past, using archive.org I'd just steal things that would still be relevant (i.e games that age well).

well you can get content from other gaming sites, change a few words here and there, and have them posted the more unique content you have the more traffic and peopl will come in
