Firstly thank you to all the bhw members for your advice and threads they have been a massive help.
So I've set myself micro goals to keep me motivated and I'm quite happy to have hit the first goal quicker than planned my first goal was to hit the $100 payout threshold for payout via media net which I thought would have taken longer to hit. Know compared to most this is a very small amount but I like to set small goals as feel massive goals are great when your experienced but when starting out a goal that feels unreachable can demotivate you so my goals are

#1 earn enough to get paid via media . Net

#2 earn $250 to pay for baby pram without touching my 9-5 wages

#3 earn money to reinvest in website 1 plus 2 &3

#4 add more content and sort out website 2 and 3

#5 get website 2 and 3 approved on media.net and start then earning

#6 earn enough off websites 1 2 & 3 to pay for baby basics like milk nappies ect and have money to improve all 3 sites without touching my 9-5 wages

#7 evaluate what I've done what's worked what's not worked and make new goals for the future

As you can see I've set small goals but that's the way I like to work, small goals feel proud every time I hit a goal and that keeps me driven

Currently on $135

Did you start earnning with media.net right after placing it on your site or did it take some time to optimize?

First three weeks I didn't earn hardly anything if you look on the link I think I got less than $15 for that period but after that it seams to have took off with yesterday being the best day I've had @$59.80 for just under 16k impressions.

They used to be a bit of a pain in terms of approving accounts/sites.

Has that changed?

I think so as got one of my sites on there pretty easy when it only had 3 posts on the site at the time as had only had the site a couple of days first applied to AdSense and obviously got rejected so applied to media and they accepted ( it's one of the ones you looked at but not the better one strangely they rejected the one that needed less work and took what I would have said was the weaker of the two at the time) so think they must have relaxed there terms or I got lucky

By easy I mean no talking to account manger ect like I had to with taboola basically just applied with the two websites and got an email 2 days latter saying one had been approved

My website is approved but its less than 3 weeks there and its giving me poor results so far. I am not suprised as second click ads (actual ads) are random and not related to my niche. I wonder if its going to change when optimization period ends. I am getting high ctr with adsense on this site.

Add different ad network. Remember that u can promote also products ecc. ecc. and add notifications-emails something to re-hook ur traffic

yes it is easier to get approved, very easy actually nowadays

@ so you earned 4$/1k visitors today? That's actually good, i guess im gonna switch to media.net too and probabily add rtb

I've been quite lucky as mine have been with spot on with my niche or very closely related

I've also.got taboola on the site but that's been shit earns around $2/3 a day so might ditch it

Great news! Glad to hear you started hitting your goals!

If you are getting results with media.net already, try using some ad networks along with it, so you can increase your revenue per user.

Don’t have to go through complex ad server setup at the moment, just use additional units, like native units/video etc.

Congratulations!
Can you please tell that did you get the payment on per click basis or CPM?
Secondly, how did you get the traffic in short span of time?

Nice when , please how do you get media net approved

was pretty easy tbh I've been pretty lucky with getting signed up as manged to get media net taboola and outbrain approval just by filling in there online application no emails or phone calls ect

You got lucky. I dont know why they are rejecting me. I am using blogger for hosting. that would be a reason?

How was your earnings compared to adsense? Or do you don't even try both? Thanks

tried AdSense on another site but account was closed within a day for some reason they claimed invalid traffic but the site I had it on had like 10 visits in the couple of hours AdSense was live with zero bought traffic (traffic came via Twitter post) so not bothered with AdSense since tbh.
