I would like to improve my on page seo.
But I have never used table of content on my sites.
If currently my articles have the proper kw density and I add table of contents should I delete few of the keywords from the article? Because If I post the table of contents I have my main kw in h2s and h3s or shpuld I rewrite those h2s and h3s in table of content?
Which plugin should I use in wordpress for this?
Is there any similiar thing that I can also implement on my site?

Aim to only have your KW in 1 x H1 and 1 x H2 if possible but if not, dilute the density a little. To be honest, I just make sure I have my KW in the 1st paragraph, once in a single H1 and H2, and then write naturally. I have no issues.

plugin = TOC plus

Thank you, I will give it a try :)

I always have my TOC table set to closed by default (personal preference, gives the visitor the choice to open) and I find it definitely gives me a boost in the SERPs, + google pulls out the headings as links as well for the listing (schema), so more click throughs. Personally it is a win win for me.

Thanks I eill try to set it up tomorrow. Do you use it on all articles or just on the ones that are for example over 1k+ words?

There is an option to only add the ToC on pages or posts or both which have a certain level of headings. So for example, I set this to be H4, then I know that the page/post will be long enough to warrant the ToC for the user and Google serps features. My short posts (<1000 words) tend to only use H1-H3, longer posts use H1-H4, though 99% of my posts are >1000 words anyway.
