I just realized that GMB has website builders for free, so I have some noob questions. What's the pro and cons of using this vs wordpress? Cost? Website looks and features? I currently have a business website with squarespace that I'm thinking of moving due to cost. My website building skills are very weak (which was why I used squarespace) but I plan on learning as much as I can probably via YT. Ot seems I can still use my domain thru GMB, how does hosting work? Thanks for any help!

GMB is useless

You cant use that to make a site

Except you are plumber or pet supplier

GMB is not for you

Even a Facebook fan page outweighs a GMB site

That's if you mean Google my business

I will guess their website builder is bad. Never used it for any of my clients.

I am guessing it is not as appealing as a WP site can be and doesnt have the same SEO capabilities.

What about for a small restaurant? The current website I have with square space is for a small family restaurant. I did mean google my business btw. Thanks!

Do you just use WP for your client sites?

I do not sell sites, I sell local SEO but I have it as an upsell. I use wordpress with WPMU DEV - Pretty Plugins & their other branding plugin along with a custom verision of WP, by doing that I hide the fact that its based on WP and makes them think its some kind of backend I coded. Works great!

Get rid of square space and set up WP for that site.

Get a GMB listing, bulk it up, backlink the site and the listing and get it ranked in Google.
