Charing people to manage accounts

I have a company approaching me to manage their social media instagram and facebook. They are looking for growth(primarily and exposure) and of course to sell their product(which is a physical product for vehicles)

What should I be charging, and what are some key questions I should be asking?

What are some questions I should be prepared to answer as well?

They're not approaching you out of the blue are they? I'm guessing you've done social media marketing for others and have done a good job? A big thing is figuring out their expectations first. Do they expect you to grow x,xxx or xx,xxx. Are they judging success based off of number of sales from your service? Do they currently have a company they use or have they used one in the past? Those are just a few things to get an idea about before quoting them a price.

They currently do have a social media manager, they have seen my various accounts in different niches that have grown well and have also seen a few of the accounts i managed and can show them before and after when i got involved with them.

They were explaining to me how they have spent so much money that past few months but haven't gotten any engagement.

Oh nice. That's a perfect situation. Do you have any ballpark for how much they've paid? They'd most likely be willing to pay that same amount (maybe more even though) to see results. If it's your first time with clients I'd charge what they're already paying or a bit less.

- What is your primary and secondary target audience members?
- Current business struggles other than what I know?
- Have you done a competitor research analysis? If so, can you share the research you have done?
- Do you need help with content branding?
- Who would be the main contact(s) during this service/engagement?
- What would be the expected deliverable(s)? (Make sure to have this in writing because I've seen so many freelances screw this up - of not having the expected and agreed deliverables prior to signing off on the work)

Before starting make sure you guys decide on some common ground on posting (type of posts, hours, images, templates). They might give you the freedom to do anything you know or they might limit certain things. Either way, it's important to decide on these things before starting. So try to ask them as many questions - regarding posting and your actions on IG - as possible.

It's all up to you. You can create a contract or a disclaimer, whatever makes you comfortable working with them.

Back then years ago, my first client in this related industry was taken before I even know nuts about proper marketing (in number games, you spam). I just asked them to give me an update of what the previous crew did prior to meeting me so that I won't deploy any colluding strategies that were already proven to perform poorly or not working at all to prevent unnecessary spending. I got a good lesson and basically know where to start from there on

I provide growth and new customers. Pretty much I research hashtags that have growth in their niche. Followed by creating content and engaging with followers.
