Don’t have dreams, instead have goals.

Don't have hopes, have plans.

Stop Dreaming 1.PNG

I notice from time to time threads on here where people just want to throw in the towel. Yes if it's not working and you have tried, then maybe it's time to get the 9-5 job and be employed.
Often though, these threads are from people who haven't gained instant riches after 4 weeks.

We all see the private jets, the private islands owned by billionaires. We can imagine that type of lifestyle too.

Be realistic though, unless you are a pioneer in software or product development these are just dreams. Selling $5 articles or $5 links will take a huge amount of time, effort and money to earn decent money.

Set yourself realistic targets, make these goals, not dreams.

So, deciding you want to turn over $1m this year is more achievable than doing $1b. Naturally, $120k is easier to achieve than $1m in your first year.

If you want that $150k car then don't just hope it's going to fall into your lap. make a plan and stick to it. Don't throw in the towel 6 weeks later as things don't work out straight away. Realistically you’re not going to start a new project from scratch and be a millionaire 2 weeks later.

Set your sights on workable goals.

Flights:

Don’t fly economy tell yourself you will fly premium economy. Then fly business class. Once you’ve done these, you’ll not want to fly coach/economy again. Hey if you want to experience first class and have the money to do so, then give it a try.

Car;

Instead of the old banger, get something second hand, just newer & more reliable.

Next is to look for a new car, even on a 3 year lease or lease purchase. Next goal is a better make or model or buying outright.

So if you like Audi; A3 Sedan then onto a RS 3 Sedan then the Q7 or RS 5 Coupe.

Remember too not just to look at turnover.

It's great to say you are making $10k a week, but how much is profit?

There's a great adage in business;

Turnover Is Vanity
Profit Is Sanity

Have a great weekend and if you're someone who is considering throwing it all in, hopefully this might help you decide one way or the other.

Aye. The amount of ‘what’s the best tools’ or ‘quickest methods’ is untrue.

It’s the whole need and want scenario! People massively confuse the two.

You don’t need tools if you don’t know how to do something manually.

You don’t need a 30k car that’s £500 a month on finance if you’re only bringing in £600....

Heck if you wanna good ‘look at me story’...... show the story that you sofa surfed, brought a crapper of a £200 car once a year rather than finance.... that’s what gets people impressed

Great post MisterF.

You're right about the mechanics of money.

If you got small mentality you'll never be rich. Gotta think exponentially larger.

Also prepare for large debt. Only way to leverage a business today is to acquire debt. Most large businesses are in debt.

Spend big to earn big baby!

Great post MisterF. I guess it's particularly frustrating for many nowadays with the slow www pace at which Google delivers results for your efforts.

I disagree. Some of my biggest clients have 50 plus staff, grown from 3 people without touching even touching their overdrafts

Most used business centres so they could avoid business rates etc, only spent on what was needed rather than what they wanted.

Government grants, enter awards and strut your stuff can perform way better than debt.

Employ people who are clever but lazy, they’ll always get a job quicker and often better than anyone aka use people to grow

A great post by @MisterF

I always like to reference my situation back in 2016. I started making money but i haven't suceeded or earn't any "good" money until after 1 year of starting IM. You have to really want it, and you have to really put in the work to get to a good income. I also believe that you should do something that interests you. Because when the first challenges in your business come, and they will come, you will simply give up and say "its to hard" or " i expected something different"

If shit really hit the fan, then i would ride the bike to my office, to be honest, its like 45 minutes just to get there. And i think that is the mindset you need to have. There is work that has to be done, and you have to do it no matter what.

It took me so much time to wrote something that i want to share.. not allowed to edit my post and 30 min delay.. It was 3 sentences lol The struggle of learning new language.

You are right about the profit part. Focus should be on that part only instead of giving false figures to friends and family.

I think this is a good message but I question why you are talking about making millions or billions when you regularly ask for discount codes for $5 SEO packages.

This was just on the first page of searching your username and "discount".

You sound like a bad Tai Lopez. Lots of guru "I am rich" speak from someone who doesn't make money.

My one and only favorite quote from the Kardashian Jenner clan:

"There's a lot of people that have great ideas and dreams and whatnot. But unless you're willing to work really, really hard, and work for what you want, it's never going to happen." - Kris Jenner

Edit: You also now warn people for asking for discounts which just makes it even more perfect

It's called expense optimization.. there's nothing wrong in asking for a discount. It's always good to get things cheaper. It's not reasonable to pay full price when there's a chance for a discount.

If you scroll through the threads, everyone else is asking for those discounts as well. It looks like the OP of all those threads told people to ask. It doesn't hurt for a moderator to check out some of these BST threads and try the products. They have the ability to remove the thread if something faulty comes up. Kind of like a quality control check.

If he saved 20% on a $30 package that's $6.

To get that $6 off he has to write that message, wait for the seller to reply (if they even do) and make the order.

All that waiting around and added time is not financially worth $6 to you unless you're not making much.

If you want to pay yourself $50 per hour (which I don't think is that much for a first world country), running round getting $2.50 an expired domain or $6 on a SEO service is not worth it, you can be doing things worth more in value.

A person pushing this type of message that the OP is putting across would understand that.

If you noticed, I didn't mention any numbers.. I was talking about expense optimization. I wasn't talking about saving $1, I was talking about saving in general.

Some answer is you don't make money by spending as much as possible if you use your business brain and think about it what makes more sense pay £30 for a service or pay £15. Ever wondered why massive compines find ways to avoid paying full taxes ect it's all about spending as little as possible to increase your profit margins.

Don’t have dreams, instead have goals.

.

No truer words spoken. Used to live by that saying when I was in sales many years ago. Used to make us more experienced guys laugh when a new kid would start then brag he had made 50k that week but his profit was only 10% and we made 5% comission on the profit. He would be Billy big balls all month untill he see us experience guys who only made around 30k that month but had over 60% profit walk out with bigger pay cheeks than him
