Convert Instagram into a business profile or not?

My engagement per post went down significantly and I want to find a way to see my demographics. I read that a business profile helps find the demographics and I have seen a few accounts doing that, but I also read that it is not worth it to convert into a business profile because of the Instagram algorithm.

I just want your input on this... What do you guys think?

You should always have a business profile in my opinion if you are using this account to generate any sort of money. You should also be running small, affordable ads on your Instagram Account. $5/day is perfect if your just starting out and target it towards your audience.

Thank you. Some says running ads is a way around to uncover a shadow banned account. I never tried but what do you think?

Unsure. If you are asking will Instagram unban your account if you were running ads, the answer is no.

If your using Instagram as a way of generating income, then yes you should use the business account. It also offers you insight reports more in-depth than the normal analytics.
