How to do you know the quality of the backlinks, if you buy those backlinks from a service?

1-if it's a comment link then low OBL and obviously not from any spammy forum or website,
2-if it's a PBN Link make sure to check it's history, i prefer mainly domains with no change in history, 2nd most important is to check the backlinks of the domain, if the domain has comment, forum links only i will stay away.
3-if it's a guest post, i will check the domain age and traffic, and yea relevancy also

It's time to explain.
I use chrome for development purposes only. Never visit your PBNs using this browser if you are asking so.

I am not keen on "easy SEO methods" because they are almost always followed by ban. I am also from the old school so prefer to optimise my onPage issues and then start a slow, but secure link building.

Quality domains from PBNs is a good way to get started for a fresh website. If the domain is brand new I'll do a drip feed.

Some of these tools are strictly private (and not popular). If you are asking me whether I have an Ahrefs account - no, using better alternatives :)

Have you seen much of a difference in ranking factors for very high value keywords? As in $15+ CPC. Compared to normal low value keywords / niches.

Where do you currently buy links from?

Do dropped domains still work well for you?

How many 301s can you get away with? And do penalties always follow the 301? What factors are to be considered in this strategy?
The 301 redirects are a nice strategy if used properly. People are actively using them these days (however I have been doing this on my sites since long time ). I suggest pointing these redirects to the sitemap of your site - it needs to pe a page-sitemap, not this kind that is generated only for Google. That is a strange but very effective way to increase the trust of all pages listed there.

And straight to the other question - seems like you've found a very competetive niche with low volume. You should put a lot of efforts to rank here but the method is same.

Depends on the purpose. Dropped domains still have good chance to help with rankins but I use only aged domains with a history and without manipulated metrics. Not the right person to ask about expired domains for PBNs :)
Do you think that it is ok to use exact match keywords when interlinking in several articles that are with in the same category / content / topic as a main article ?
Mair article is not on honepage an is about 3k long. The sub articles are between 500 - 1500 words
Well, you should have diversity of internat links. Using only exact match will look suspicious.
hi CROSSBG This is a thread i've been looking for since I'm in need of SEO expert's advises..:)
I found so hard to get do-follow guest post backlinks for my site. After searching online I found a website(thefrisky com) with great matric. The site's niche is also relevant to my site. But I'm still in doubt due to the fact that there're so many freelancers sell thefrisky backlinks on fiverr and other freelancing sites..
I'm afraid that google will penalize my website due to paid links.

Would you please give me an advice on this?
Thanks in advance
Hi, you should always check the domain history and backlink profile before posting links there. For example, if it has a high spam score - forget about it. Then check its backlinks, Ahrefs metrics, etc. Google will ban your site only if you paid for a link in a low-quality site that has been created especially for selling links. For example, a crappy PBN site with obvious footprints, too high OBL and crosslinking with another sites.
I have a website which was ranking on 4th-5th pages. But since last few months its rankings are dropping heavily. Now it is not ranking even on the 1st 10 pages. What should I check?
Backlinks profile is clean. No indexing issues. No any on site changes.
There are a lot of potential reasons. The most common is too many backlinks which are not clean at all. Have you bough any PBN links? If yes, what was the percentage from all links pointed to the site? Tell me more about what you've done.
are keyword domain names still worth it in 2019?
Not that much

  1. best way to boost tier 1?
  2. if you have a backlink with the same anchor word from these 2 sites: subdomain1.redapple.com and subdomain2.redapple.com, would it be considered as 2 backlinks or 1?
  3. with all the google updates what do you see in the niches that you follow as to the number 1 ranked site, having the most % of exact match keyword as backlinks. for example if your keyword is redapple, then site #1 has a higher percentage of its backlinks as redapple vs other competitors?
  4. Why is a site ranked #1 in US for a particular keyword, but ranked below 1 when you check it from a different country?
  5. What is the impact of using url shortners these days?
thanks in advance
1. Links from domains wiith a clean profile and good trust. Try finding niche-relevant sites and guest post there.
2. This is one primary domain. Using the same anchors of both domains will look a bit suspicious. You'd better use it like domain.com and domain.com/page.
3. You are asking me if this website has best backlinks? Well, it depends. There are many factors used to know whether the content is relevant and a strong (and clean!) backlink profile is one of them. However, you can still outrank Wikipedia on a specific keyword, right?
4. Google will pick the most relevant results for a specific country.
5. Url shortners like bit.ly? Don't like this tactic really.
How to do you know the quality of the backlinks, if you buy those backlinks from a service?
Do you mean BHW or? If you buy inside BHW - check the reviews and ask for a sample to see what's going on. And if the seller shows his full network - this is a bad, really bad sign. Don't forget every servcie here is passed a mod check which help to maintain the quality - you can rely everything is as described.
If you buy something outside the forum the method is same although I'll never use site like Fiverr.
The importance of backlinks quality in 2019?
The importance of quality is increasing every single year. If you were able to start your xrumer 10 years ago and rank a site now this kind of strategy is a nonsense. The accent should be only on extra high quality backlinks.

Thank you for taking the time to reply mate. That sitemap trick is a nice idea I'd never heard of that before.

How do you build links to a website with thousands of pages all trying to be ranked?

Curious how you out rank ? For an example you search your post , surely got some post coincidence same with some website appear on google first page search.

the key is due to that website is older than yours so it appear first ?

Do you use table of contents (plugin) for long, informational articles. If yes, how do you find it useful in general?

Is ranking a parasite for a game hack niche possible today? With all those contextual backlinks needed it's hard to publish quality articles because niche is black hat.

Pls check the things I’ve written before
would you be kind enough to touch down on the tools you use ?
I see this is an interesting topic for you, will make a list these days.
Do you use table of contents (plugin) for long, informational articles. If yes, how do you find it useful in general?
Yes, I do. It is really useful for all users and not at last it contributes to on page SEO
Is it harm to make BPN for website that don't have back links
If used carefully it is not harmful - everything depends on the quality of PBNs

Well, never worked in that niche before. I have experience in gambling at all but not in this specific niche

Is social media marketing more effective than SEO nowadays?
This question is with high importance and that’s why I decided to write a separate post.

Everything here depends on your earning strategy and also your audience. If you have a site about fake news, funny memes and jokes - yes, it may be more important to do SMM. However, if you are l offering services - you should concentrate on your SEO.

To sum up, if your audience is in the social media use these powerful tools to grow your business. If that’s not the case - use it mostly to gain some social signals and build some trust in the clients with positive reviews.

Hello @crossbg, thank you for this AMA

When I'm working on my on-page SEO, and in my list of keywords I get two keywords like this: "Keyword-one" and "Keyword one", do I need to write them both to rank for both or not?

Also, could you make a short list of WH methods to build backlinks? I'm new in this business and this would really help a lot.

Is it better to create a separate page for each longtail or should i include them in H3’s and H4’s?
For example

Should i add a ‘Best Dumbbells for women’ section in the ‘Best dumbbells’ article, or make a completely new article for that keyword?
