Some chaturbate models are stealing from affiliaters

I saw people talking about it on other forums too and problem seems to be really messy.
Ye i saw it over on a few other forums i am a member of as well. I'm glad everyone is sticking together though and highlighting this issue.

It is a huge problem. The revenue has been going down significantly, and no we are not talking about -40 or -50 %, i am talking about revenue loss of about -80 or -90% on some days. It's pretty normal that camgirls have done this in the past with the amazon wishlist but it has never been that dramatic where they tell a viewer to register a new account with clearing cookie and cache. That's just plain stealing and without our affiliate marketing skills and hard work some camgirls wouldnt be in the position to this in the first place, neither earn the amount of money that they earn from Chaturbate alone. They don't realize that they are digging their own grave with it.

Either Chaturbate is doing something against this, or affiliate will just stick to other camsites, and by these revenues that are going on lately, im sure they won't have a problem with that.

When did you notice the big decline in your revenue? I 100% agree with you. I don't advertise them but I do for many other sites over the years. I really hope Chaturbate look at this seriously and do something to plug all the leaks or they will lose a lot of affiliates. That camgirl telling people to clear their cookies was shocking

It began in Nov/Dec 2018 when all the sites got changed to HTTPS, thats when a lot of the "Chaturbate Shaving" and "Chaturbate Low Earning" Threads on several forums popped up. To me the most shocking thing is that chaturabte is not doing a lot in preventing camgirls to do that? I'm pretty sure she "only" got a warning but i don't think this will stop her from doing such actions..

Yes, I noticed they took a while to speak to her and for it to be removed which does not give you much hope it's really frustrating. The reason I asked regarding your revenue was that I have noticed a bit of a decline on another couple of cam sites that I push roughly from about Nove/Dec also ( rev share ones ). The thing is these girls are on so many sites splitting their cam feed so probably stealing from many. It has been a problem that has been around but seems to be a lot worse nowadays, it's very worrying.

I stopped pushing rev share a while ago and opt more for PPS which I do a lot better with. I do have a couple rev share links as well but noticed stats and rev and whales disappearing. I hope things get sorted for you all we work hard to send them customers sometimes I think the camgirls forget this

Hi, what cam sites do you promote instead of cb??I am looking for a second option as well.

So instead of you sitting back and relaxing enjoying your revshare, the model/affiliate can retire and enjoy "what should have been" your revshare?

This is the last straw for me. CB should not have allowed models to be affiliates in the first place because this will eventually happen. (Edit: and even if they don't allow it, models can just create a separate affiliate account to intercept signups, so the bare minimum solution that I personally am expecting is for CB to not allow models to promote signups).

What is the point in driving traffic if the model ultimately gets the revshare anyway? There is a very good reason why those models intercept signups, and may have been successful in doing so, that is why the keep doing it. That big loophole is not funny at all. I would stop sending traffic now and move on.

CB does not seem to want to rectify this problem by de-associating and re-associating those referrals back to the real affiliates.

Broadcasters on Chaturbate are allowed to post their referral links on their bio. They are not allowed to overlay any site function or mislead users with their banners/links. Please submit any instances you see of broadcasters overlaying site design/misleading users to [email protected] so it can be reviewed.

Regarding the broadcaster with the graphic which asks users to clear their cookies, the issue is being looked into and changes will be made.

Hi, could you please also look into this model? she’s asking users to sign up a new account with specific username under her affiliate link, this is no different than asking user to clean their cookie, another dirty trick to steal our old spenders

@Mohawk Steve
Is there anything you can do to address this issue? The purpose of the whole affiliate program should be to bring new users to the site, now it’s being abused by model to take advantage of it and steal spenders from affiliaters while bring 0 value to the site. The affiliate program is becoming nothing more than a fraud with this issue continue.

I doubt he will reply. It's more likely CB does not want to make this issue any bigger than it already (really) is, i.e. making sure other affiliates stay unaware. I find what he said about cookies rather unbelievable. The loophole is probably the model's literal retirement plan and the affiliate's exercise in futility to keep on sending traffic to catch up.

So I am stopping right now. You should too.

Stopping to promote a site and complain is a way to put pressure for changes to happen.

While this thread is about chaturbate I also created a thread about the scammy behaviour of bongacams. I don't have enough posts to link it here but I would recommend anyone who is promoting them or thinking about it to read it first : bongacams-openly-promoting-new-website-without-crediting-affiliates

IMPORTANT NEW!

Chaturbate just sent out survey to our emails asking our opinion on the affiliate program, I think it might be the result of the massive complaints regarding models stealing lately, please make sure you all fill in the survey don’t forget to CHECK SPAM BOX if it didn’t go to your regular box in your email. Let’s see if they gonna make change about it.

Did you check your spam box? Which email address you linked to your affiliate chaturbate account? Check that one

Checked my payment email adress and my email adress for the actual account. Didn't receive anything. I guess ill just get it later?

Whatever it is, just stay as far away from those agency as possible. I've more than once found videos of these models seemingly attempting to get help with disguised tattoos on their bodies that obviously were self-drawn. It's fked up.

wtf...?

No news for this week, Chaturbate really cares about their affiliates. Now models even go that far and watermark their stream, telling the users on Live Webcam to sign up new through their affiliate link/whitelabel.
This turns my stomach and im really heated, these models wouldn't be where they are today without our affiliate skills and getting users to their webcam. Whatever, Chaturbate doesn't seem to care at all and most likely there will be huge pullback from the affiliates.

Try out this custom CSS in your Chaturbate Whitelabel
Code:
a[rel="nofollow"] {
visibility:hidden;
}
img[rel="nofollow"] {
visibility:hidden;
}

It hide the images in the "About Me" of every user, hides outbound links and flashy overlay buttons.

Thank for sharing it here, however this is still not a total solution, because of how chaturbate conduct their email marketing and communication with users, some of the white label users will watch the show on the main site even tho they signed up on our white label, not to mention on mobile version the cb logo will displace on stream, the did a survey of their affiliate program yesterday, hopefully with all our feedback the management team will come up something soon

Yeah sadly its not a permanent solution. I hope this survey really helps us and Chaturbate is doing something against these huge problems for affiliates :(

The next step is to cookie stuff CB users on the CB site, models still can't do this, but who knows...

This is a non-issue. If they registered via your white label/affiliate url, you get credited for their spendings on the main site too. I know this for a fact. I had ~100 white label domains i dropped in the past 2 years and i still get credited for spendings of users, who registered via some of those white labels, which are non-functional now. The only explanation to that is that some users found their way to the main Chaturbate site and keep spending there. The issue arises, when they get the idea to create a new account more than a month after they arrived on the site via your cookie, because cookies live 30 days.

But agreed, there are many leaks, those what Heiko mentioned above, the overlays are an issue or what you mentioned, the logo is an issue on the mobile streams, the chaturbate.com domain is an issue in the emails.

When i first came in contact with cam sites, it wasn't Chaturbate, but a domestic site with strict rules. Models weren't allowed to stream at multiple sites at the same time. They weren't allowed to share any contact info, no phone number, no email address, no Skype, no nothing, not in public, not in private or else they got the boot. Chats were randomly monitored by site admins. They knew this, so every each and one of them followed the rules.
