I am NOT selling. Just looking for some verifications for this impulse buy.

I just bought it. No, it was not from an auction.

Everything is clean.

BUT

this is not a gTLD. It is a country level domain which costs $70 per year.

is it worth it? I know it is. But something corner in my mind bugging me, why was this not in an auction. It is so freaking cool one-word domain.

I am sure, it is not penalized or anything coz around 80 pages were indexed even when it was expired.

TF - 9, CF -13 if anyone's into that. (i am not, i just look for RDs)

nice ref domains you got there *.*

I had a .is domain with some nice metrics that I paid whatever is required for Iceland and sold it for 350.00 to a band from Iceland with that name so the extension should not be an issue if you catch lightening in a bottle.

They are some decent referring domains, definitely a good move snapping it up.

Thanks guys.
What do you think is the best use of this domain?

I am scrapping domains for my own PBNs. I feel like this is too good a domain for a PBN.

Domain is totally brandable. This is a legit conpany with facebook, linked and twitter pages..
Seems like it was abandoned last year for some reason. Lol.

The linking websites don't really provide much value to me, as I am sure we could purchase links from the same referring domains here on BHW for around $100-$200. If the links are guest posts, they are of course much higher value, as they are likely to be more permanent. The Google+ links will probably disappear soon with the Google+ shut down. The Wikipedia links could be removed at any time if you don't build out the content where the links are supposed to go to.

So for me, all of the value comes from the actual domain name.

I have sold 4 letter word country specific domains for $100-$350 USD, so if the name is really cool, anything less than $1000 can't be a really bad price. Less than $500 probably a very good score. Over $1000 I hope you have some local connections in the country to help you build it out!

Yah those are public blog networks with ton of outbound links. I am bulding a private blog network .:smirk:

Well if it is worth more than $70, it is win for me. ;)

Thanks guys.

Only thing I am scared about here is that someone hacked the domain or stole the domain in a deal gone bad with the company (their webmaster got fired or something). I would try to find the specific terms and conditions for local domains in that country because the company may be able to claim it back. So, my advice would be do not put too much work into it right away. Maybe set up a contact page for a week or something in case the company contacts you to ask for the website. Of course if that happens you should try to get 2x what you paid at least. Then if they don't contact you, you can even argue to the domain registrar that you had a contact page up for a week and they didn't try to contact you so they shouldn't be entitled to the domain.

Just something to keep in mind!

Very nice public backlinking from those bloggish newish websites.

The value of it lies with the owner, not with it's past.
