Reddit upvote issues

Account age is number 1 factor in determining account likeability of generating spam or manipulating votes, and I say this as someone who studied anti-spam algorithms.

It might work on 1 or 2 accounts, however if a post is only getting upvotes from new accounts that's a dead giveaway its farming/botting.

Whether you need 100s of accounts or not will depend on your use. You can't tell somebody "you don't need that much" when you don't know their uses.

I don't care if account age is the number 1 factor in anything, I am saying that I have used hundreds of fresh accounts, all created on the same day, on reddit, over years of testing, and never had issues getting pure spam on dead subreddits with zero traffic upvoted with those accounts. There just is NO reason for reddit to ignore the upvotes from 10 accounts if they count them from 2 accounts. From reddits point of view, the accounts are all different accounts. Unless there is a leak somewhere else, reddit shouldn't care. I have seen many posts over the years get brigaded and mass upvoted or downvoted by brand new accounts, thousands of them at once.

With 100% certainty I can say that I can get 25 upvotes to stick from brand new accounts all created on the same day, not aged at all, on dead pure spam posts. The accounts wont be banned. The post wont be deleted. Nothing bad will happen. The upvotes will be permanent. The accounts will work perfectly for everything. I am not some magic guru with a hidden trick. I am just stating the facts of reddit. If there is no leak, the upvotes should stick whether 1 day or 100 days old.

I didn't tell anyone they don't need that many accounts. I was referring to my own use.

I always verify the emails, I have used both spam temporary emails and my own domains for verifying emails. No difference from my experience.

This Utopian Reddit you're talking about sounds like a fictional one, because it's sure as hell is not the same one I'm dealing with.

Anyway, good luck with your business. If you're interested in having a real conversation about this feel free to PM me as I don't want to derail this thread.

Edit: @Jennifer lopez any email should work fine, just stay away from mail.ru or blacklisted domains, and it's always better you verify the emails.

accounts need to be over 3 months and strong proxies like random 4g

It's not derailing to discuss facts. It is derailing to call me a liar, which is what you are doing. Just because YOU have a different experience, doesn't mean I am lying. I don't want to have a private discussion with you. I am just here to tell facts about my personal experiences. I post publicly so everyone can benefit from knowing my experiences.

Listen, I don't mean to disrespect you but it's obvious you have little to no idea what you're talking about or to put it nicely, your "experiences" are quite limited.

Again, if you have anything to say, or you would to have a further discussion about this feel free to PM me, or start a thread about Reddit aging requirements where I'd love to join the conversation. I will not be replying to this thread any more as we have derailed the conversation and it's being pumped for no reason at this point.

Best of wishes, and good luck with your business.

I agree with you 100%. Smaller subreddits are easy to rank even using new accounts.

Big subreddits need more than brand new account

This is so condescending and out of line. You are flat out calling me a liar. Reddit isn't some hidden secret that only you and 3 other people in the world know about. You register accounts, you upvote posts. This isn't rocket science. Again, YOU are the one trying to derail the discussion. I am contributing MY experiences and MY knowledge to the thread.

Anyone who thinks you NEED aged accounts to get upvotes to stick is FLAT OUT WRONG. You have leaks either in the program you are using, the proxies, or the way you are using the accounts. This is EASILY proven. Register one account. Make 2 posts. Upvote the first post. Check the subreddit in incognito. The upvotes stick. Try it with 2 fresh accounts. You can see that the votes are sticking and working to improve the ranking of the posts.

Is there a limit where age can help you overcome your leaks? Possibly, but that isn't the question. The question is whether or not aged accounts are NECESSARY for upvotes to stick, and I can say 100% that I use 20+ accounts every day of my life, and have NEVER had an issue with upvotes sticking and boosting my rank from new accounts, 5 minutes old, doesn't matter.

Everyone is welcome to come and call me a liar with no evidence to support their statements. Or they can consider that MAYBE just because they personally had a hard time, doesn't mean something is impossible.

Here is another related thread people might find useful:

I linked to a specific post from a random person who also confirms that they use VIRGIN brand new accounts and have no issues getting upvotes to stick. You may want to view the thread entirely though as you may get information to help you. The fact is that when reddit users register accounts, they use them immediately. That is expected by reddit.

That isn't utopian reddit. I am able to make 100 accounts in a flash then immediately use them to deliver all 100 upvotes with no error. It is a fact. Those who need private proxies and/or aged accounts have flawed bots.

HOWEVER, there IS an issue with reddit right now. My bot stopped working (it was flawless) which prompted me to make another one. This one works, the upvotes stick, the accounts get created but a lot of them get banned too in a relatively short time. There is something different this time around.

In your reddit bot change browser from hidden to visable. If this is not helping, login with one of your accounts in browser and see if your need to verify your email or not

Correct. Having votes coming from accounts all with X age will be flagged quickly. Whether they are brand new or age diversity is key

DING DING DING!! These are the correct answers right here ^^^

There are other factors that go into whether or not an upvote actually counts in order to push up the post or if it just serves to make the upvote count appear higher. HOWEVER, only getting votes from accounts made at damn near the same time is fatal to a submission having a shot at the front page.

Bommie, I've noticed the same thing on my end. I wrote a tool that was working fine for months, and now loses accounts quite frequently.

I have noticed too, in the last few days reddit upvote does not show or counted with new accounts.

I've gotten the votes to stick, but the users continually die off. I'd like to compare notes with someone to find what's going on. Mine is a tool I built myself, and I know I'm likely just 1/2 tweaks away from getting shit working.

I do not use Selenium, and mine is entirely done via requests. It worked for months, but started having issues about 1.5 months ago.

reddit detected the bot. my bot only working on post , comment doest work any more. and all my account are aged from 2009-2016.
also i tried by hand, it is working ..

I'm also in this kind of situation. Accounts just last 6-12hrs. Won't get to +100 upvotes on the same post. Everything was working fine this problem occurred last two weeks.

Not sure if its the proxy side.
