Hi everyone. A scum duplicated my YouTube channel (channel name, videos, thumbnails). I sent copyright notices to YouTube 3 day's ago but I didn't recieved an answer yet. How long does it take for youtube to solve a copyright claim? What else can be done in order to ban his account?

You can only wait, or try mutliple accounts to report him or ask subs to report that channel.

I did something like that once. Cloned a guys cpa website. He got ahold of my contact form and wrote me a nasty message said he is going to sue me with lawyers and all sorts of stuff for stealing. Nothing ever happened obviously, but these sort of tactics may dissuade some people caught red handed.
You can report and wait. Not much else can be done. Unless u resort to underhand tactics. Depending on what he is doing. Report site for phishing. Report to google to de-index. Hire ddos attacks. Send him phishing attempts. Report him to affiliate network. Send him bunch of fraud leads. just some ideas. Typically not worth it.

I already did that with 7 channels but no results so far. I just don't understand how this fucking YouTube works. I while ago I got a strike for using a picture from goolge as my thumbnail and this fucker has copied my videos, thumbnails, channel name and logo and YouTube takes no action against him. It's bad for my channel. Because of the duplicates, my videos are not ranking as they used to.

if you the original poster your videos cant be counted as duplicated. how many views he's making on your videos ? did he really steal lot traffic ?

I am the original uploader but he gets enough views for a new channel. It's depressing to see your hard work stolen.....

if he gets tons of views
it will worth to sue

he monetize the videos ?
It's a new channel and doesn't meet the required subs and hours of watch time in order to apply for monetization. But why YouTube doesn't take measures against him?

because they dont care of non monetized channels. all you can do is wait for strike process or mass flag

But how long does it takes for the strike process from the moment when I applied?

Usually 5 days.

Sure! You don't have to mass report each video he stole, because after 3 strikes the channel get automatic banned.
Just an update: Youtube removed 6 of the videos for which I sent a copyright notice, but his channel is up an running. WTF...I thought that you only need 3 videos to infringe copyright to get your channel down. I still have 60 more videos on his channel ;(((

Probably not a good idea to suggest people commit crimes and just call them "underhand tactics." Phishing and DDoS attacks are not Blackhat or underhand tactics, they are things which are criminal and more likely to end with you in jail than his channel being taken down.

Open up a Microjob thread and pay people cents to report him.
Send me a message and I'll report him free of charge.

If this is not allowed, then ignore me. Just trying to help the fella.

In theory this is why there is the verification badge. To prevent usurpers and I.P.
Contact YouTube and prove to them it's Your content.

Reporting individual videos seems kind of slow. Take a look at the Report a Channel section. You should have the option to report the user. If all the channel content is yours (not reused), there is also a legal reporting option.

Thanks :). I didn't know that there is a option to report a user. I did it and also got in touch with other YouTubers from which he also stole videos and asked them to submit a copyright notice. I hope that at least one of them will take action against him.
