Please add a manual captcha verification for creating threads and posting replies.

I am 100% certain that the person spamming the forum with the shitty low life baba scam is using auto posting software.

If you search the number on Google, hundreds of forums and web2. 0 are being spammed. This is no way manual. We can't let auto posting softwares spam our website.

A manual captcha verification for all accounts below 20 - 80 posts would work. This would be random.

Atleast make them pay money for captcha services. Admin can put a banner promoting his referral link about captcha service. Will make a bank. Just kidding but can work.

Could also limit the number of threads you can make per day to 5 or some other number.

Brand new accounts should be put under probation, only a few posts per day until they meet a certain post threshold or the account needs to be aged atleast a week + meeting post threshold to be able to freely comment otherwise they’re limited a few post a day untill they satisfy the requirement to freely post without restriction.

This will most defiantly combat the spam empidemic going on here on the forum. I just reported 20 threads the OTHER DAY.

This is sad people are this shitty to ruin this privlage for everyone.

This is what happened with YouTube. Shitty spammers spammed YouTube with blasting softwares and we got PVA shit.

Its not about the issue of what we want to see or not. Its a out the impression the site makes when someone visit it. Also, you can't let some jackass to spam your platform on daily basis. There should be a strong authority and presence. The person should fear spamming on this board.

The bots already bypass a captcha without issue, and some of the spammers will post with many accounts simultaneously, so neither of those suggestions would have any real effect.

The forum already has a lot of spam control in effect, what you're seeing are the tiny number that get through. Out of ~3000 new posts per day, there are only "5-10 reports of spam a day".

Outside of pay-to-join and invite-only forums, I don't know of any community with that low of a post-to-spam ratio.

As DD recently stated:

We get 5-10 reports of spam a day. Considering the number of posts this isn’t the end of the world. Hit the report button and it will get cleaned.

We were all new once so limiting new users isn’t the answer. But we’re looking into community moderating options.
