Journey to $10,000 a month with niche websites

Date: Tuesday, Jan 29th, 2019
Journey: Seed Money
Goal: $1,000
Earned Today: $40.12
Earned Total: $295.80

Another good day today. I made my daily goal. Three more days to go this week, and it looks like I will hit $300 total earned tomorrow.

Good to know!

Just throwing this out there...
If you're looking to collaborate, mentor, coach or an accountability teammate or whatever, I'd be very interested! PM me if there is any interest

Thanks for the invite. I will be in touch if I need anything. I'm sure I will need help in the future once I start on the niche sites.

Thank you for your advice, @TheStrandDiaries.
I made some videos about haircare products as you suggested. I hope it will go well :)
About social media, are you only using Youtube now? :)

Cool. Let me know how it goes.

Right now I am using Youtube, Instagram, and Pinterest on my projects that are already built up. I have not started any social media on my niche sites for this journey since I have not created them yet. But I will be using those three once I have my niche sites up.

When you start a new "project" do you build everything from scratch? Do you use new domains, social accounts etc... ? Alternatively, do you prefer aged domains with link juice with aged and populated social accounts?

Also, with regard to Amazon, do you start new affiliate accounts for each project? I would suspect there is some benefit to having your amazon affiliate accounts diversified. Can you speak to this? Thanks again!

Thank you. It is still a lot of work being on your own, but the work is more fulfilling. You get to use your brain in ways that you are restricted from using it at a day job. You will be very impressed, and probably even shocked, with your own brain when you realize you have figured this out and are making money with it little by little.

I salute each and everyone that has the patience to work hard with very low roi or revenue. Good luck with your journey! I have to find first my patience and perseverance lol :D

Earned Today: $40.24
Earned Total: $336.04

I was able to reach my daily goal for the day. At $40 a day, now it seems like the $1,000 goal is starting to pick up speed and I am getting there much faster than the previous weeks. I will be back later with an update for Thursday.

Yes, I build everything from scratch, and everything is new. I like the idea of finding a domain that already has backlinks and link juice. That is a very smart idea. However, it never really seems to work for me since I normally name my niche site the same name as my niche, or I use a long tail keyword for the domain.

As for Amazon, I use one Amazon affiliate account. I have one niche site that is dedicated to affiliate marketing and I place all of my Amazon affiliate links on that site. I signed up for Amazon affiliates just so I could use it on this one site.

All of my other niche sites have a product that I created. If a product that I created has an extra component that can be bought on Amazon, then I will put an Amazon affiliate link to that product on my niche site. There are only a few Amazon affiliate links on my other niche sites because I want the customer to buy MY product and stay on MY niche site so I can receive full price for a product, rather than sending them off to Amazon where I will only receive a portion of the price for a product.

I salute each and everyone that has the patience to work hard with very low roi or revenue. Good luck with your journey! I have to find first my patience and perseverance lol :D

Thank you. I appreciate you commending hard work. My father always taught me to finish what you start or don't start it at all. I also went to Christian school when I was growing up and was taught a verse from the Bible that said something like, "Consider the building before you build. Otherwise, if you do not finish the building, people will point and laugh at you." Lol. Those two pieces of advice always stayed with me throughout my entire life and helped build my work ethic.

Today I met my daily goal again. The day started off very frustrating with one transaction that turned out to be a total waste of time. I spent time on it, but did not get paid. But I was able to get back on track and reach the goal. Tomorrow I will be over $400.

I came from a Catholic school when I was on my highschool year. I know that Bible verse but I didn't actually thought of that thoroughly until now. Thank you so much for reminding me of that powerful words.

Oh! How I really love this forum. Thanks bro!

Great! This is the info that is difficult to find. People don't talk about the business foundation, structure and systems required to build from. Much of what is found is more along the lines of:
  • Sign up for an amazon affiliate account... skip the details
  • This is how you sign up for an affiliate account... ship how you should build your business around the account (or many).

Meat and potatoes - this is great stuff! Are you willing to share if your products are downloads, service based or more hard goods (drop ship, service based or other) Looking forward to hearing more.

Good Luck with your journey you make motivated to start my own niche affiliate blog,
but i want to what is your marketing plan for this project , i think it's SEO but how do you plan to rank them any idea Please ?!

Lol. You're welcome. The threat of others laughing at you can be powerful motivation to follow through.

It was like that when I went to undergrad school. The professors and school administration loved playing politics. They kept all the information locked behind bureaucracy. It was like pulling teeth to get the knowledge and skills I was paying $5k per semester for. Only if you played their games would they reveal some of the information to you. What I discovered years later after graduating was that people who play politics with information, they either:

1. Don't know the information.
2. Know some of the information, but want to control/manipulate others with it, rather than share it.

Meat and potatoes - this is great stuff! Are you willing to share if your products are downloads, service based or more hard goods (drop ship, service based or other) Looking forward to hearing more.

I will share the products I am selling in a little bit more detail, without revealing the actual product, as I create each niche site. That way the journey will make more sense and people can follow along.

I am going to sell physical products in the clothing, beauty, decor, and food niches. One service product in the research niche, and also a few books and downloads in the academic niche.

I probably won't do any drop shipping. I will ship the products myself, very much like I was already doing on ebay. The only outsourced shipping will be when I start Amazon FBA. I will ship the items to Amazon and they will ship to the customer.

Good Luck with your journey you make motivated to start my own niche affiliate blog,
but i want to what is your marketing plan for this project , i think it's SEO but how do you plan to rank them any idea Please ?!

You should start one! One of my niche sites on this journey will be another Amazon Affiliate niche site. It will be later on after I create some other niche sites, but you can follow along once I start it. The Amazon Affiliate site I have now uses Instagram and a website. The next one will have an Instagram, a website, and a YouTube. I can't wait!

I am going to use SEO to rank my sites. I follow these steps:

1. Find a niche (Decor).
2. Narrow the niche down to something specific (Pink rugs for girl's bedrooms).
3. Check to see how many monthly searches the niche gets using Google Keyword Tool (15k monthly searches or less).
4. Buy a domain that is the same name as the niche and/or long tail keyword (pinkrugsforgirlsbedrooms.com).
5. Build a website on WordPress.
6. Add an SEO plugin to WordPress.
7. Enter my long tail keywords in to the SEO plugin (Pink rugs for girl's bedrooms, Pink bedroom rugs, round pink rugs, square pink rugs, etc.).
8. Add the content to my site (Photos of pink rugs, Photos of pink rugs in girl's bedrooms, descriptions for each rug).
9. Add the long tail keywords to the content on my site (In the description of each rug).
10. Make a YouTube video for each pink rug on my site (At least 10 videos so I have 10 weeks worth of content).
11. Upload one video per week so my YouTube channel will start to rank and my video will sit in the #2 spot right under my website in the #1 spot on the Google search page.
12. Put a link to my website in the YouTube description box.
13. Put my long tail keywords in the YouTube description box.

But before I do any of that, I need a very specific targeted niche to get the #1 spot for my website and the #2 spot for my video. If you do a Google search for "pink rugs for girls bedroom" you will see Walmart and Wayfair come close, but they can easily be booted out the way. They aren't capitalizing on it. It's just one little teeny tiny department in their big gigantic store. You can take their little department and turn it into a niche website.

this journey is really taking a good turn and am glad to be following... alot of information down the line too.

Good Job

Very interesting journey.

One little question: since you create videos and use Youtube to attract views and generate sales, do you also use softwares that can upload 50 or 100 times your video with many similar long tail keywords, considering that this kind of strategy allows to have your videos look different in Youtube's eyes ?
