Some models on chaturbate are putting up affiliate link on their rooms to baie users signing up new account, and more and more models on the front page are doing it as well even though I was told that’s not allowed, I already sent email to support but still haven’t got a respond yet.

Well done that you contact support, but even if they have their links in their page in theory the sale/lead goes for the guy who first planted the cookie in the clients computer meaning that if you send the traffic through your link the sale will be given to you even if the guy clicked the model link, BUT even if you get the sale I understand your point and we need to report these models.

This has been happening for months now but Chaturbate doesn't seem to care because they will still get their share, I see some models overlay the entire page with a link to their whitelabel and I believe that any sales made on your whitelabel is credited to you. Now some of them are linking to other cam sites, hopefully they will do something now since this will affect their bottom line.

Yes, I know that if you promote cb with white label you will be less affected by it. However, cb promote and communicate with users through main site, so even if you promote white label site there will still be people log in and watch show on the main chaturbate site therefore your signups can still be stolen by those models.

The most models work for agencies, so the agency behind decides about the design, the profile data, possible links, ...

And I guess as long as the visitor account will be created, Chaturbate itself earns money with this, they don't have to care.

That’s why we all need to report on those models to raise this issue, it’s in their benefits too because if this trend continue to grow it only gonna encourage affiliaters to switch programs or commit less resources and time to promote cb

This "issue" is not really new and i don't really see an increasing trend either. Just use white labels on your own domains. The rooms don't bear the Chaturbate logo anymore, users going from your white label to the main Chaturbate site is unlikely. The only place where Chaturbate is mentioned on a white label site is the TOS and the footer of the site, but you really need to look for the latter. As an everyday user how often do you check any of those?

When users are already registered via your affiliate link or white label, they can log in to the main site with their existing credentials and you'll receive your share from their spendings on the main site too. Chaturbate can only communicate with/promote to existing users. Sure, they can register a new account, but it's like this since the beginning.

Many of these models know about the cookie thing, I will give you an example the model clare chan put the affiliate link righ on top of her screen and ask viewers to sign up there and create a account name begin with chan, now since cb send notification and promotion emails to all registerers with their main domain, many people registered on white label will watch shows on the main site because it’s more convenient(just one click on the email) and therefore they can be stolen by model like these after their cookie on white label is gone.
The trand is growing for sure I visit cb almost everyday to see what’s trending and there’s increasing number of models are doing this especially with top models like clarachan leading the way

So this entire thread is butthurt because nude models are making some money from their own work?

WTF?

Go work on your own methods and stop fucking with someone else's income! If they're adding their own link that's chaturbate's problem not yours.

I've noticed this as well. A couple of my Whales have disappeared.

dose it matter , there trying to earn a living better then hitting the streets .

i am sure affiliates no of this there not silly.

Understood, but Affiliates work hard for what they get too.

If the user is advertising chaturbate, sends a user, but doesn't get credit, then of course it is the affiliates problem. The models wouldn't have that user sign up under them if the affiliate didn't send them to Chaturbate in the first place. Models NEED affiliates to continue growing chaturbate with new users. If affiliates stop sending users, Chaturbate revenue will dry up for the models too.

Support replied to me about that particular issue, here's what they had to say:

"Broadcasters are allowed to place banners and referral links on their bio, as long as they are not covered site function or being misleading. That page is not violating any terms.

Also, they would not be stealing your users. The user would already be cookie’d to your link if they clicked through it."

Isn’t the cookie last only 30 days or do they mean if a user’s account is link to a affiliater already then when he clicked the link while already logged in the credit will goes to the original affiliater?

If your user still uses your link when going to Chaturbate, the cookie should renew itself. If it expires and then the user subscribes under her link, then you're screwed.

Maybe I don't understand cookies. From my experience in Amazon Affiliates, a cookie will be "over-written" if someone clicks on a new affiliate link, so only the LAST person to have the user click through gets the credit. So, what I am concerned about as an affiliate, is I advertise Chaturbate, the user goes to a models page and they have my cookie. But the user is not signed up yet. They click the models affiliate link to sign up. Even though I referred them, wouldn't the model get the credit?

Nope! First cookie wins (for 30 days).

If chaturbate does not tag affiliates with their affid upon first landing then their referral system is broken. If you sent the initial lead then they must tag you as the source. If they allow affid cookies to be overridden by links on the landing page then their system is fucked up anyway.
