Hello everyone,

I’ve been planning to build a website to generate leads for gyms in certain city.

My website will beb [City]Gym.com
As an example LondonGym(.)com
I will be targetting people from that specific city to gain leads for gyms in that city. But I have checked gym affiliate programs and I couldn’t find any online.

How should I go with this?
Should I just contact the gyms and ask them if they are willing to buy leads?
Should I first get leads and contact them or contact them before getting leads to see if there is a market?

Is there anyone who has dealt with gyms in terms of lead generation?

Thank you for all the help

have you checked other websites/competitors see how they are doing it?

If you’re talkig about lead gen sites for gyms? I have no idea which sites are those.

If you’re talking about gym businesses in that city, I have searched and have not seen any partnership options.

if its a big company then they will have affiliate programs if its just small ones then i would phone them up and speak to them

If you don’t mind can you tell me how I can approach them and when I should approach them? After collecting leads or before collecting leads?

well there are several methods avaialble

you can charge them a month or so to advertise or you can offer them a free listing on your website all it would cost is £5 per sign up etc etc.

what you need to do is research and see what websites offer what and copy them or found out how they do things

I’ll try to do more research, thank you for the advice

For people who have done lead generation before,

Do you just insert a form with a phone number to receive calls?

or

Do you collect their emails only?

How do the business buy the leads? Per phone number or an email?

I do this and take in email and direct calls that I track. I use only PPC and retarget on FB and take all payments in advance.

I always get better payouts with phone calls with local stores. I suggest you execute these steps:
  1. List all gyms at the city with the phone
  2. Call the gyms at your location and tell them something like:
    • We're a lead-gen agency and we can provide high quality leads continuously. If you're interested, I can generate 5 leads for you in the next 5 days for free.
  3. If they agree, start your lead-gen campaign and collect 5-10 leads
  4. Do not build a good landing page for the lead-gen
  5. Use a promo of the gym on your landing page

Thank you for the advice, I really appreciate it.
I still have some questions in my mind.

1) Should I rank in their keyword before contacting them? In case they would want to check my website.

2) Do you talk about your pricing when you call them or afterwards?

3)Do you get paid for each lead or do
you charge the business with a monthly fee? Which would be more convenient in this business model.

4) When collecting leads, what information do you collect?

5) Do you answer the random calls you receive from your website or do you redirect the calls to the businesses and track them?

By the way what do you mean by “ do
not build a good landing page for your lead gen” ?

Hate to say it but selling plain gym leads will be tough but if you target something specific like crossfit you can make more money per lead.

Your way should be manually collecting leads for everything else really. I do hope to make it better but it doesn't really work at all. See my point here totally and completely there. Then not everyone will buy out all leads. Take a look at tracking software for you.

Why don't you set up a few basic FB campaigns targeting gym owners, fitness trainers etc, audience is huge. Offer them free leads, one, two or how ever many you'd like. Once they see the leads coming in your conversation for paid acquisition becomes much easier. The market is competitive so you have to offer some value proposition in order to stand out... GL
