Ebay banned dropshipping

Their main concern with dropshipping is not that you have the product in your actual possession but that you can actually fulfill the order/sale. Too many people had to give refunds because the suppliers don't have the product to ship. Ebay is clogged with listings for products that never even had a chance of getting to the purchaser's mailbox.

Hi

ebay still did allow dropshipping, and it will be in the future, but not the clasiic way ...
since ebay amde a huge update on April 2018 following by a little one on october 2018 ...since then all classic old way dropshipping is dead
Did you even read their dropshipping page ? They updated it. You can't dropship unless it's from a company that you sign a concontr with.

how will ebay guys know that you are doing dropshipping ?

i still doing it, and i see on ebay others are doing the same...
those who been suspended used old ways, like copy pasting and cancelling orders

I also sell stuff that is completely banned on ebay and so do a lot of other people. IT does not make it not against the rules.

selling banned items on ebay its another story, i am talking about random items like everone sell on ebay and are not VERO...

and now 2019 Ebay is focusing more on buyer experience, they want they sellers to follow the same way, offer the best buyer experience and take care of them ...and if you do this they will let you continue selling on ebay even if you have some bad metrics...like late shipement or so...

It's banned? It's similar to selling banned items, just not as a easy. You will get caught sooner or later. You will get a asshole buyer who bitches about how you got it from amazon based off the return address. I had it happen to one of my accounts recently, they first lowered my limit than a few days later(like 1-2 days after they changed the policy) i got banned for buying from another market and selling to the buyer directly .

People have gotten banned, top seller taken away, etc.

I don't think ebay will stop dropshipping directly, maybe they just want to make it more strict that's it, i think they will get the stupid sellers out of the games , you have to make your listing look more professional also you must ship & reply to messages faster & create good description to your listings not just copy past,

also you have to get dropshipping agreement from any store and then sell from any store you want just try to make yourself look legit to ebay and give real value to their customer,

ebay at the end just looking for money like you,

This is actually no surprise. It was just a matter of time. I guess they have been flooded with new users and dropshippers since this "get rich quick with dropshipping" hype on YouTube, Facebook etc.

A big problem is many people don't treat it as a real business and start to publish low quality shit on eBay, Amazon and Shopify. They just copy the whole product + description and multiply the price by 4 without having any background information of the product. Mostly the original chinese seller doesn't even know their products are being used for dropshipping. This ban is just the normal consequence. They will get stricter, same as Amazon will get stricter. Amazon already banned countless chinese sellers from the German marketplace, cuz of shady methods of hijacking other sellers listings.

What can we learn from this? Treat "dropshipping" as a REAL business. Build a brand, see whats going to sell, start PL (private labeling) and scale this shit up to the moon.

One more thing, which I think is VERY important:

If you are in a niche and it starts to become a hype (like dropshipping) you should better start to become a) very good in what you are doing and scale it up or b) looking for another method or niche on how to make money. Why? Because in the longterm policies and laws will change and might ruin your niche/method.

I have been dropshipping on ebay for about 16 months, I started off selling items only worth a few dollars so my profit margins were low, but I have now discovered a few niche items where i can make a profit of between 25% - 75% on each sale and I am making enough for it to be a income rather than just beer money.
I think the trick is I have done plenty of research about the products I sell so if a customer does ask a question or have a problem after purchasing then I can answer them and this is reflected in the feedback since I only have 3 negative feedbacks from over a 1700 sales. (the 3 negs were from buyers who would have left negative whether it was dropshipped or not)

As for dropshipping from Amazon, since you can use FBA to dispatch orders from other marketplaces there are probably several sellers on Ebay who genuinely ship items to customer from their Amazon inventory so it arrives in Amazon packaging. I have never had a customer leave negative feedback for items that have been dropshipped from Amazon.
If ebay are now requiring you have an agreement with a wholesaler for dropshipping just buy a domain and throw up a 1 page website for a wholesaler, and if they ask for proof send them to that website.

Damn man!!! From the thread title I thought you were talking about some dirty blackhat method of dropshipping that was banned on eBay, not this chickensh!t BS...

Just received this email from Ebay.

Hello,

We’ve determined that you haven’t followed our selling practices policy therefore, we will be removing your Top Rated Seller status until your account is in compliance with the policy.

There is evidence on your account that you are purchasing items from an online retail or marketplace site after you sell the item on eBay and having that retailer ship the item directly to the customer. This is a violation of the terms and conditions section of our Selling practices policy, which states:

·Items you list must be in your inventory or you must have an existing agreement with a third party to fulfill the delivery of the item under the terms of your listing.

For more information on this policy, please go to:

Regards,

The eBay team

This doesn't really mean dropshipping is banned the phrase "you must have an existing agreement with a third party to fulfill the delivery of the item under the terms of your listing" is pretty much the definition of dropshipping. It sounds like what is not allowed is if the seller is selling things from Amazon and they ship it to the customer. The phrase "you are purchasing items from an online retail or marketplace site" does not describe real dropshipping.

They didn't ban dropshipping. They banned people that don't know how to dropship correctly.

I'm sellin since 2014, and it was never really 'allowed' on Ebay, there was a short period when they said it's okay, but i guessed they figured out why the heck they didn't allowed this...
Dropshippers are mostly lazy and Ebay would like to work with hard workers, But yet, If you know what's ya doin, Ebay can't say a fux bout you..

Dropshipping on ebay is allowed but you have to prove that, it means that you have to show two proofs, 1- proof that you bought products from wholesell supplier 2- proof that you have an agreement with that suplier to keep products with him and ship it when you ask that,, i think ebay want to give top rated seller to real busniss men and not for dropshipers without any proof, also i have read that they will remove gaypal as away of paying out by the start of 2021, all sellers will add their own bank account, funds will transfer in one day, there will be no HOLD anymore, so i know that they will not start this unless they make all things right, which means ALL dropshippers must declare their business informations.
This answer makes sense.

Just need to be more careful now and do things right, it's not that easy for eBay to find out that you dropship your items. Even if they ask you for some proofs, it's not something that can't be resolved.

i think drop-shipping still working if you take it with a professional way

it because that ebay's 80% of stores are from aliexpress or alibaba :D. dropshipping comes from them :)
so now chinesse people have to think some kind of new game there :)
