I started trying to build little backlinks to my blog and I created tumblrs with high DA and PA but now the problem is that for 2 weeks they're yet to show up as backlinks, so I plan on driving fake traffic to the backlink to see if the backlink would get indexed. Would this work?

You must posting this backlinks on web 2.0 pages or in social accounts (twitter or facebook), where single posts indexed. And then drive fake traffic through they on your backlinks. If you don't use gasket's pages your idea wouldn't work.

make a blog in blogspot.com design a little bit, add one or 2 posts(400+ words), let it index or create a sitemap and submit to search console and then create one more post and put your web 2.0 links in that post and fetch it on search console as crawl this URL with its direct links

Make a guest post on web 2.0 is good. Web 2.0 is like wordpress, blogspot, joomla etc. Thats free to create, but if you dont want to build from zero, just buy them which have been completed by high DA PA.

Natural way means not forcing indexing process, but let Google index it when it wants.
