Sending cold emails without getting blacklisted?

Hi,

I need some help with sending cold emails scraped from various places on the internet without getting blacklisted.

1. Should I put the scraped emails in a service like Sendgrid on my personal pc while using a VPN/proxies?

2. Is it better to use a VPS?

3. Should I go for SMTP?

4. Should I use regular emails like gmail/yahoo/mail.ru or use emails created through my own domain?

5. How to avoid getting sent to spam box?

6. Can I get in serious trouble according to the CAN-SPAM?

I used mailshake and gmail gsuite to send around 100/day without any real problems.
If you are trying to send more than that I would not recommend that setup.

I don't think mail.ru qualifies as a regular email (not in this side of the border).
As for sending emails, you could use an smtp server service like Amazon SES.
It's cheap (10k emails for free) with high deliverability (unless your domain gets blacklisted for spam).

Thanks but the point of this method is to avoid having to drive traffic to get people to opt-in. By scraping I get the emails easily.

What gets blacklisted? The IP? The domain used to send the emails?

Sending only 100 emails per day? You can use two gmail accounts to do this for good inbox rate. Make sure certain spam words are omitted, free, promotion,etc.

For Amazon SES when you hit 10k, you need to contact amazon support to increase your mailing limit. They will do a check on what you send out before either increasing or banning your account.

IP and domain can be backlisted with Spamahaus.

With regards to law governing spam, please refer to CAN SPAM.
Nowadays, people are using contact form spamming to bypass this law.

Anyhow,scrapped list will have very high bounce rates which in turn will cause your inbox rate to drop dramatically even with Amazon SES as the ESP. Not worth the time and effort at all. If you want to spam, then use Gmail (you can purchase in bulks), use multiloginapp or similar and send through web browser. After every email sent, pause for around 3-5min. Your inbox rate will be alot higher with Gmail. Max you can send is around 50 emails per account (most likey PVA will happen after this or account get ban).

Dont waste your time if you are scrapping email. Not going to be worth it at all. If you want to scrape at least scrape from relevant niche.

When you scrape without filtering out role based email and no email verification, if this is not wasting time and resources, I don't know what is. If you are scrapping from places like LinkedIn discussion group, Facebook group, etc at least you know the leads are relevant.

Thank you for your answers. Would the Amazon SES allow me to stay anonymous in order to avoid getting in trouble with Can-SPAM? Can I make this whitehat by adding an unsubscribe option in my emails?

You shouldn't send them newsletters so you are in the safe side and you dont waste money on emails that won't give you shit. DO what we call *The first kiss* email, look into my threads the funnel one has some AMAZING email stuff.
