Emoji Domains - What Do You Think?

I recently stumbled upon something called "emoji domains" AKA domains that use emoji icons in the site address.

What are your thoughts on these kinds of domains? Do you think they'll be of any use in any means?

I'm thinking about bidding on one in an auction just because I think they're mildly cool.

Depends on the browser.

On Chrome desktop it displays the unicode in the place of emojis.

Could be useful for hosting IG prelanders where the traffic is going to be pretty much all mobile.

I recently learned on Windows u can bring up the emoji menu by pressing <windows key> + ;

yea if it can only be .WS then its probably not worth it. educating the market that .WS is a website domain is hard. I purchased some clever domains that create a full word for exmple like suppli.er and people did not understand that it was a website domain.
