My journey with doorways began in 2010, when I started learning Python. Scraped one of the torrent tracker with educational literature and made doorway based on it. I uploaded books on the file sharing service and received my first $100. Before that, I was involved in the MFA and MFS (Made for Sape) sites, which paid for the hosting, but after the first money from The Internets that could be held in my hands I left sales manager position on computer store and went on this journey.
Until 2015, everything was going fine: I worked a couple of hours a day; the average monthly income of $800, which is not bad for Russia; but then local war against piracy began. This killed my income by the end of 2016, driving me depressed. All I did in 2017 was watching TV shows and drinking vodka. About the time spent on watching TV, I think, as the practice of the English language. Well, everything is clear with vodka.
On one of sites, a "kind person", in the form of revenge I assume, posted information about webmaster form adult niche. All of his domains, statistics from TDS and CPA networks. After checking the information, I decided to copy his method. It was the end of 2017.
For a few days I wrote a parser and started using WordPress to create similar sites. The first batch of 20 domains gave 4,000 visitors a day in 2 months, 16 domains Google filtred on the first month - the rest in the third but this volume of traffic gave mee hope for good income. I burned 80 more domains in a next half a year, but stopped because tired of seeing 2,000 visitors per day on the counter.
Studying Google serp I found fresh web of tubes for Asia, with an average traffic of 500,000 per month. Made 12 and traffic starts to go.
And although recently I had to spend a lot of time on moving from digitalocean, since they started taking VAT, I will continue to work since the alternative for me is a seller at the grocery store.
