Need Help with Expired Domain

Hey everyone,

While looking for an expired domain I stumbled on a domain which says available in GoDaddy. Without thinking much I bought the domain.
After buying I can see the domain is still active on the internet and the expiry date shows as on Sept 2018 whereas I bought it just now.

What's happening??

What's happening??

When you was buying the domain did you check when its expiry was?

Some sites just show estimates of the expiry, if you went to buy it you could've bought the same name but a different registrar. i.e instead of .com you bought .co.uk

Have you logged into your go daddy account to check it has registered ?

I didn't check the expiry before buying.
But I have bought the correct domain name.

In GoDaddy the domain is showing. as registered.

and also I can still visit a page ( not cached, a live one) on the domain

If it's the same domain, in a few days you'll get a message that the transaction has failed. Contact GoDaddy's customer service to see if you can speed things up and get a refund now.
