Adwords and BH methods will both get your site to the top of Google fairly quickly, but only one of those runs a risk of being penalized or de-indexed.

It's the same on this forum, spamming is treated differently than paid ad space. If you feel that's unfair, take it up with management, not the paying customers.

Ever since I found this thread a few years ago I got addicted and all I did was read and read and read. I must visit this form every day at least once or every second day. I find that people that have noob accounts that are two years old and never hit the next stage is impossible unless there is no need or interest to be here. The spamming lately has been unbelievable and is hurting people with legitimate threads asking for help, posting knowledge or selling a service. This form I would consider more of a prestigious form and it should be a little harder in the beginning to operate your account with further unlocks as you go to keep the information credible. If you truly want to be a valid member you will hit the requirements. If your doing it for marketing or trolling you would not have the patiences to wait for the account to unlock. This is just my two cents

I reported it to david355 and he sorted it out. They didn't sniff my proxy traffic, they just hacked into my BHW account and posted a +ve review on their sales thread.

Yeah, I too noticed a pattern yesterday and posted about it here. Someone must be farming BHW accounts to bump their BSTs or fake the reviews.

I think every person knows this, that few are using multiple accounts to get reviews and business. but fact is it can't be tracked and no one can be blamed for nothing.

I think people who have no credibility should not be allowed to post reviews on BST threads. Certainly not one post wonders.

Well, I have got real time clients who just posted once and they paid instantly. So, credibility is a question where you see multiple accounts with one to 15 post are being used to bump the sales threads. On internet with proxy it is difficult to say what is real and what is not. Only background of forums can track it up to a certain level.

I remember one of the links landed in top 3 for a 7k MS keyword and made me #1 from #5.

Staff can often spot from the get go, the accounts that are here for reasons not becoming the spirit of the forum, but any you suspect are fake /bought/farmed, click report and we'll look into them.

As I have posted before, play by the rules and you're fine. Get on the radar of staff, then watch how you behave.
