Hey guys, This black Friday I made $3126 in affiliate commissions (Amazon) from a 10 days old blog (on a dead domain) , with 100% organic traffic.
Here is the step by step process i followed.
Step 1 : Exported Long tail keywords of a large affiliate site which covers 'top 10 x 2018' from ahrefs with these filters.
Step 2 : I shortlisted top 2000 from the list and went on to create content for them. here is the content. Here is what i did for the content.
Step 3 : Went on to regular life, didn't expecting much. No link building of any sort is done..
A day prior to BF, I checked the analytics and it had over 1500 visitors from USA :O
On BlackFriday it had lot more visitors.
Here is the Traffic screenshot. You can see traffic started that week and died off after the Season was over.
I was excited with the traffic and revenues and Updated all the posts on Sunday with a fresh title - "Best CyberMonday deals on ProductName"
Results :
For now let the money do the talking... Hope it is useful.
How many of you think it was possible ? Even I am surprised for sure.
..
Thanks
Of-course Moneyshot comes 1st..
Here is the step by step process i followed.
Step 1 : Exported Long tail keywords of a large affiliate site which covers 'top 10 x 2018' from ahrefs with these filters.
- Search volume - Between 100 to1000 a month (Just a number i picked, Anything above 1000 would have less chance of ranking & anything less than 100 won't be worth putting efforts into)
- Keyword difficulty (Min 0 - Max 10)
- Country : US
- Keyword filter : "Best" (this filter finetunes the keywords even further.
- These gave me over 16,000 product based keywords.
Step 2 : I shortlisted top 2000 from the list and went on to create content for them. here is the content. Here is what i did for the content.
- Wrote a 400 word article, keeping it very generic so it could fit pretty much any product and still makes sense.
- This 400 words were in a such a way that i can dynamically replace the product name, their manufacture name, number of reviews and the current rating.
- After this initial introduction, inserted 7 products from Amazon (Used the Amazon API) including their title, description, feature list, and the current number of reviews with 3 links to each product.
- The products were filtered based on their price, number of reviews and the current rating. Making sure i only recommend top products.
- Amazon officially allow you to use product advertising API to promote their products, nothing shady here.
- At the end of the listing a short 100 word paragraph just like the 1st concluding the top product.
- The title of the article said 'Best blackfriday deals on "Product-name"
Step 3 : Went on to regular life, didn't expecting much. No link building of any sort is done..

Results :
- It had 10,065 sessions out of which 7067 were organic. (Analytics attached).
- About 1700 products were ordered from amazon with close to 70K in ordered items revenues. (Screenshot from Amazon affiliate attached)
- As of now, Amazon affiliate commission is $3,472.
- You can see the traffic & earnings were close to 0 , it peaked on Friday and then died off slowly...
How many of you think it was possible ? Even I am surprised for sure.
