Well some proxy providers say that they are selling “virgin” proxies but we know that many of them do not do so. So what parts of a proxy make a virgin proxy? I know what it means but is it based on the ip or are there other factors that come into play, such as the vps, that make a “virgin” proxy?

A "virgin proxy" is a proxy with an IP which was never used before in the theory.

how can you change the Anonymity level?? I'm using this http://www.proxy-checker.org/ to check it says level 3? how to change it to 1? I followed the guide and add this #define ANONYMOUS 1 or level 3 is fine?
 
A step by step guide to setup your own proxy server . No need to buy proxies again when you can setup your own server in almost same prices as most of providers sell.

Lol you know nothing. It's way better then anything you can buy expect for residential maybe. IveI spent $5 on a proxy and had horrible results. I set this up no issues at all. You know you are the only one using the ip.


For anyone interested don't bother try with Google proxy it's complete shit.
 
So much hassle when you need thousands of ip addresses. Much less cost as well.

If there is any of you who is a bit more tech savvy and is willing to help, please send me a PM.
I tried on both 14.04 and 18.04 Ubuntu server.

Hey, google "setup-proxies-vps-3proxy" and hit the first link - you'll get a bit updated guide for the same. I am basically Ubuntu illiterate and still managed to get this working with OVH IPs.

3 days later - Yes :)

I had a problem with the binding/aliasing of the additional IPs. Their support team was not really helpful as they gave me completely irrelevant lines for the server I was using.

If someone is having hard time adding their additional IPs I would suggest using the 16.04 version with the following lines:
Code: 
#open the 50-cloud-init.cfg config file nano
nano /etc/network/interfaces.d/50-cloud-init.cfg

then it should look like the following:

------------------------
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto ens3
iface ens3 inet dhcp

auto ens3:0
iface ens3:0 inet static
address 00.00.000.00 #this is where you need to type your additional ip
netmask 255.255.255.255

auto ens3:1
iface ens3:1 inet static
address 00.00.000.00 #second add ip
netmask 255.255.255.255

if you have more then 2, you can just follow the pattern.

To check if you have added your additional ips successfully, you can simply try to ping them from your own pc. Open Command prompt - type ping 00.00.000.00 - your additional ip.
 
QUESTION FOR ANYONE:

If I add mutiple IPs on the same vps and create proxies, is it possible for instagram to link the different proxies together?
 
is it just me, or has the price of VPS that OP mentioned went down from $5/month to around $18/year since 2016.
