Someone hit my parked car while I was in it: He did give me his number, however he only gave me his nickname through text. I have been texting him, but he refuses to give his insurance info. I want to file a claim to my insurance as I have texts with proof saying it was his fault, however I don't have a whole lot of info to give to my insurance company. Does anyone know a good free source I can look up a phone number to get a name and some more info? Thanks!

You got into an accident and did not get his DL, his insurance, his registration, his license plate and you didn't take pictures at the scene?

Naive me trusted the situation to get fixed as he seemed super nice. I know for sure he has access to a private secured parking garage where his girlfriend lives. You need a certain phob and parking pass to enter, however the leasing office in the building "can't" share info like that, neither do they have video footage (may be a lazy worker, or footage is kept by the police?).
Situation sucks, but I am trying to turn it around, as a lot of problems have since happened to my car internally.

The leasing office might have someone that would share that info for a 50 dollar bill... alternatively you can hang out there, find his care and get his license plate and file a police report.

Pictures go a long way in the event you choose #2.

I am gonna regularly go check if I see his car. I don't know exactly what floor she lives on, as he was on his way up (in a hurry) when it happened. Paid for the whitepages search, got his name and home address so I might go see if I can grab his license plate from there. I have a photo of my external car damage but that's about it.

Thanks so much for your help and input, its greatly appreciated. Never been in a situation like it before so.
