Can spam score could bring down?

hello everyone, first of all I'm not native english speaker. so, I'm sorry for the vocabulary.

I don't have much knowledge about backlinks and off site seo!

I was searching for a expired domain in my niche and found one with DA 16 acc. to moz but the problem is that it has 39% spam score.

So, can we bring it down? if yes, then suggest me some methods. I would be thankful of you all.

Spam score is one of the most unreliable and irrelevant metrics there is. Don't pay any attention to it. It has no connection to the reality.
