Can anyone enlighten me on the best way to go about getting a badge? I know some ppl are working with workers @ig etc. But does anyone have a reference. Or have another way I could go about getting verified. I don’t have a small ig account by any means (though I know this doesn’t necessarily matter.) And I’m willing to pay of course. Or give promo services.
Any feedback would be immensely appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm willing to find out how too, so I'll stick around here

Be careful with that, there's a lot of scam about it

Whatever you do, do not fall for anyone offering to get you verified for $$.

Unfortunately you will NEED some sort of agency to verify you. Anybody PM'ing you about getting your verified for x amount dollars is a scammer who should be reported and banned.

One account I have applied for verification normally through the app and was accepted. The other used a Social Media Agency that has a contact at facebook for verifications.

Well can anyone recommend a trustworthy agency, if that is the case.

What’d

You submitted through the app and got approved on one of your accounts? Did you have to submit multiple times before you were approved?

Thanks!

I've interacted with people that sell that service for a while and I can say with utmost certainty (or at least beyond a reasonable doubt), that only 1% of people selling that service are legitimate. Anyone selling Verification services for less than ~$1,000, is a scammer. And on top of that, you must do you due diligence on checking their background.

These are people with an inside man/woman, who have agreed to this deal on the basis of a business relationship.

But, Instagram started taking verification badge requests for a little while now.

There are no guarantees, but the main thing is having a presence on the internet in general. The bigger your presence can be noted (outside of the platform), the more likely you are to get approved. This means maybe having a blog, or guest posts on other blogs. Possessing other platforms with a decent sized audience, a website, etc.

One of their criteria even states;

"Notable: Your account must represent a well-known, highly searched for person, brand or entity. We review accounts that are featured in multiple news sources, and we don't consider paid or promotional content as sources for review"

The blue badge is supposed to be a signification of social proof. So you need to have evidences proving that you are to an extent a public persona.

I have a friend who got verified through the app but he has 50k followers decent amount of likes per picture and used to own a blog that got popular and made him do few tv commercials . Now I kinda wanna try to get verified since I have been featured in magazines before. But my personal account has barely 3k followers

Thank you!

Thanks for your response. I’m in the millions regarding followers but it doesn’t guarantee a badge by any means. Since you have PR you should give it a shot maybe!
I actually just went ahead and did it. I don’t think I’m gonna get it at this time. But I will try again in few months. My family owns a travel website/ magazine and sometimes I post at its Business instagram. I asked them to get the account verified so it would probably be easier for me to get verified after our business account gets verified right ?

I think you just need some status and proof of your ID or brand, a friend who is a musician is blue tick verified and has only a few 1000 followers. There's just a small process you need to do.

Two ways to get approved. Have an inside person working at Facebook. Or have presence on newspapers, commercials, TV, movies, magazines or such outside publications. It does not matter if you have 100 followers or more.
Of course, once you have over 500K followers, it is easier to get a blue tick. Now, don't go and start buying fake followers to get you there. IG will check your following, and if there are a high number of bots/fakes, they will not approve you. And worse, maybe ban you.

I have been in newspapers and magazines but they are from different countries, would there be a way for me to send to them ? is not like a simple google search of my name will bring all these things up
