I was looking for a vps and came across this "1&1" vps claiming:

Can you please elaborate your experience if your existing customer of 1&1 ?

Any advice or opinions are welcome.

I looked at the sales page - the $1 offer is for Linux only. Windows is from $10/month extra.

Personally I use old desktop computers at my home as servers. I understand this is a small hit on my power bill, but I run everything so for me that works perfectly. If I needed an out of my home vps, I would use free trials of amazon vps services. I know I am cheap, I just dont like paying for things. Even just one of my old dual core computers at my home runs so much its insane. I do not need windows, so I suppose that helps me alot. Well anyways, best of luck to you.
