Paypal negative balance problem

I have a paypal account that is connected with my bank card and all my data on paypal is real

I am from south east europe
I dont want write a lot ... mostly, the buyer has reported me to paypal for me and wishes to refund money ($ 500), my paypal balance is now negative (-566). He made payment on 5 august

paypal sent me a mail that I need to get in touch with buyer or return the money by the end of this month.

I do not want to pay back the money because the buyer partially cheated me.
I'm interested in what can be?

I can not delete a bank card from paypal.
what can I do to avoid paying? would the closure of the bank account help?

Closing (or emptying?) the bank account should work, but is that legal? Disassociating the bank account from PayPal would not help, nor would closing the PayPal account. (in my country)

For $500, it is likely worth PayPal's time to pursue, so I would say you need to pay it back. If the chargeback was false, continue to fight it.

Have you submit your tracking number ( if it is a physical product that needs a shipment) or any proofs that the buyer cheated you?
Note- Paypal CAN"T charge your card or your bank account without your permission.

Sorry I did not know that. Where i live they can't charge unless the account holder authorized the transaction.

You could cancel your bank card. No need to close the account. Also you could contact your bank and tell them not to accept charges off PayPal. (If I've understood your issue correctly).

1. Try adding a new dummy card and delete the original one.
2. Try resolving the issue by directly discussing this with the buyer. Sometimes they do accept partial refunds! So try your luck there.
3. If nothing else works, pay up the money because you don't want a $500 ruining your credit history. I've also heard PP selling off these kinds of negatives to debt collectors in case they are unable to recover the money from you.

This is a shi*ty situation that PP can do to their vendors at times. I recall having an eBay ad up for a $1 priced item, and I specifically said in LARGE FONT, "DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM - PLEASE MESSAGE VENDOR BEFORE ANY ORDERS"

Long story short, customer buys 400 qty of $1 item --- and PP gives me trouble to reverse the charge, cost me ebay account and PP account at the end.

Do it paypals' way or find another way to do business online. I sure did!

Just close the card and make a new one. As far as i know paypal cant do anything beside closing your account and retrict you from it service

I dont know can I write here now after 30+ days but i want tell you something...

Before 2-3 days, I log in into my paypal account and Balance is normally. Balance is on zero, no negative funds... paypal didnt send me anyway mail or something like that...

Today I make report on Paypal and ask them what is happend, is that solved or what?
I explained to them that the client want cheat me...

Unfortunately this is one of the risks of using paypal. It depends on if you can afford it, but I have had it happen before and I just paid it. Unless you don't care about the paypal account.

Seriously. I had that happen to my main business account but was forced to pay it because I couldn't afford to lose it.
