Hi all,

So, long story short. I found an expired domain which seems good for the niche I want to attack. After some research, I found out it was a legit website, meaning that all the content was about the niche of the domain, until last year, when it seems some japanese guys got it. They probably used it for some sort of redirect/PBN/something, because in the last crawl, the content was all japanese....

Now, my question would be: should I register this domain? It has some pretty good metrics, but I don t know what to say about that last bi with the japanese.

EXTRA REQUEST: Is there any way I can check if an expired domain was previously penalised/sandboxed? I believe there is a chance that right now the domain could be one of the above, because it got good metrics, but wasn t picked up by anybody.

Thanks.

I wouldn’t buy it, because Google already knows that topic language were dramatically changed on this address.

It’ a strong signal to devalue all links pointing to original website.

Also you should check every backlink and every outgoing link from this site.

Check its index, check cache, check whois history.

Metrics only work for legit sites.

Why not? What's stopping you?
The fear that it may already be penalised or close to one, a dact which would eventually lead to my work which I would put into it be in vain.

I personally wouldn’t touch it as it seems to already be spammed. It’s just waiting for a penalty now.

Yeah, that is my fear too...But it got good DA and PA...it is one of the best in those two for the niche from all the expired domains I have seen.

90% of decent expired domains have already been abused by Japanese guys and their PBNs. Stay away. It's most likely penalized or toxic. If you want to use it for some churn and burn project and don't care about where you point it, then sure, but there are still some half decent domains out there that can be considered clean.

And regarding the other question, this was discussed today, so a bit of searching never hurts mate. :) https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/g...expired-domain-is-banned-from-google.1066982/

I wouldn't recommend it. If someones used it for a PBN and no longer using it then it's probably been penalised or tainted in some way.

Well, I checked its cache and a part of its history, I believe. But yeah, you are right. This change in language is not good.

Yeah, but I thought that if I try to rebuild it, using the old looks and articles, the japanese part will not matter anymore.

Well, the plan is to rebuild a website or at least buy a domain, see if there are some articles on it from the previously created website which I can repost on it after I buy the domain. Then add articles from different expired domain aswell. Thanks for the link, I missed it. Regarding this search for expired domains...I would have came to you, because I know you are an expert in this field, but I am looking for domains in my language, not in English. I know you charge an extra fee for domains in foreign languages and given the potential audience and the niche, which is not that big, it would not be wise.

research before about panelized and the for sure use

I don't think it's worth the risk, most expired domains that have any kind of net worth are automatically back-ordered and sold by auctions / domain vendors.
Find a reliable domain vendor and buy from him.

Sure, expired domain working better and saving your times

don't waste time. build your own dream mate don't focus expired domain. because if google penalized everything will be waste.
