How would you like to die?

80 years old at least and something where i don't really suffer. I don't like thinking about death if i'm honest.

I'd prefer to get shot on chest from back by someone whom I trusted. Sort of a betrayal :)

Like it or not, but the best achievement will be to leave behind a worthy legacy. But I would like to leave this world at the age of 60-70 years in order not to torture myself and not to be a burden for anyone.

Shot in the head twice from behind with a .38 while having an orgasm from a hot chick riding me while high on ecstasy.

Stress-induced brain hemorrhage while botting 2000 instagram accounts

The problem is that people who leave behind a legacy but get really old are often times forgotten unlike people who died at the high point of their career at a young age. Just look at Club 27, those guys literally reached god status.

all these guys talking they dont afraid of death - lying

I’d wanna die a peaceful death in bed with my loved ones around me in my final moments somewhere between 65 and 80 years old.

Not really, eternal sleep sounds pretty good to me.
As Marcus Aurelius put it:
"Alexander the Great and his mule driver both died and the same thing happened to both. They were absorbed alike into the life force of the world, or dissolved alike into atoms. Keep this constantly in mind: that all sorts of people have died — all professions, all nationalities. Follow the thought all the way down to Philistion, Phoebus, and Origanion. Now extend it to other species.

We have to go there too, where all of them have already gone:

… the eloquent and the wise — Heraclitus, Pythagoras, Socrates …
… the heroes of old, the soldiers and kings who followed them …
… the smart, the generous, the hardworking, the cunning, the selfish …
… and even [those] who laughed at the whole brief, fragile business.

All underground for a long time now.

And what harm does it do them? Or the others either — the ones whose names we don’t even know?"

I'm definitely gonna kill myself before I hit 30, but it's interesting to see how the majority of people on here wants to get old. Like, really old. 80+ and stuff.

I'm not sure how to digest your sudden confession to end your life before hitting your 30's. Don't you think some people might find your urge to kill yourself a little bit disturbed. I know I'm not a perfect person either, and no one to judge you but... come on you just said that you have a definitive motive to kill yourself before you hit 30's.

This is an anonymous forum, but if you were posting this thread and those replies
on a Facebook page you would have gotten so many "cried for help" posts references.

If you say that I belong on https://www.reddit.comreddit.com/iamverysmart then you definitely belong on https://www.reddit.com/r/SuicideWatch .

Nah man, I'm not like that. It's still well over 6+ years until I'd hit 30, also not interested in the whole "don't kill yourself : ( " stuff since I believe people should be allowed to end their suffering when they want to rather than prolong it to avoid hurting others. r/SuicideWatch is just a circlejerk of le Ledditors who won't go through with it either way, or teens who confuse depression with normal sadness.

I believe the term you are looking for is : chronic depression, and not normal sadness. We have been given this beautiful gift of life, to be born and make something out of your short existence of this planet is what you should strive for.

Thousands and thousands of individuals have left their print on the history books, wouldn't you want to be part of that exclusive group of bigger than life human beings that decided to advance society in ways we can't even explain?

Life is precious man, you just have to grab it by the horns and give it your best every single FUCKING day! Simple as that man, killing yourself in my opinion is a cowardly act if you are not suffering from a terminal disease or locked to a bed unable to move your body.

Be the best you can be every day, I would love to still see you 6 years from now on on BHW posting about your success and how you turned your life around. You know you are starting to rub on me, your cynical and pessimistic posts, so I hope some of my grandiose optimistic attitude can fuel your ambitions and will to live a much longer life.

I dont want even think about that. Dont receive negative energy from your thinking.

Eventually all those prints are going to vanish, be it through war or the heat death of the universe. There's no print you could make in history books that would last forever, unless you're literally Socrates or Augustus. Advancing society isn't really something I'd strive for, eventually people would either fall back to their old ways or use it for malicious purposes. Or it'd fire directly back at you, the same way democracy stabbed Socrates in his back.

Not just Socrates and Augustus. But to name some people more recent, Nietzsche & Jimi Hendrix. Now that's an absolutely random combination. But they're both being remembered the wrong way. Nietzsche's work has been altered to no end, and the people who love his work misintrepret anything he says, especially high school kids who are (for some reason) his major audience in this day and age. Then we've got Hendrix, whose fanbase (like the one of The Doors & Nirvana) consists of retards, people who make money off of their name although they've been dead for ages, or kids who wear their logos/faces on shirts but nothing else.

Look at Stan Lee. He died just yesterday, and already most of the people either moved on or you have the social justice movements who now bring out all the apparent racist and oppressing things he said since they didn't have the balls to do so when he was still around, not taking into account that the guy lived for 90+ years, and clearly in different times than the one we live in today.

There are some things you cannot forget, no matter if they were physical or emotional trauma. And frankly, ceasing to exist is the only definite way to get rid of them forever unless you manage to be drunk 24/7 or shoot up on something, which is both expensive and not the best option in the long run.

I appreciate your concern, however some people aren't meant to live long. I've experienced and seen both the poor & rich life, and have been unsatisfied with both. Losing certain people in my life, being betrayed in the worst way possible and 3 near death experiences through accidents are the main reason why I am the way I am. I've been on so many pills, have so many scars both mentally and physically... it's just not really worth it. People are tiring and the most selfish thing you can possibly experience in this world, so I wouldn't ever attempt to go on for someone else, especially when they're doomed to either die or betray you eventually.

I tried to ignore this thread but I just can't :)) My best answer is ''I wouldn't like to die", but that's impossible, so.. the best answer becomes " Until I die, i would like to have no pain". It's not the death itself that scares people (everyone dies eventually), but the associated pain.
