So we are an IT organisation that deals with storage, backup, cloud etc., we want to generate sales from social media and build a name.

What steps should we follow to generate sales on social media and work on SEO.

Should we BLOG, rebuild our site, any suggestions?

How much would a basic SEO cost? How can we drive Traffic to our website ?

How do you normally get customers online and what sells well?
What are your competitors doing?
What’s your budget?
What are targets that you have in mind?

These are a few of the questions you have to ask yourself and your team to even begin to ask the more important questions that will narrow down your choices.

That's a very generic question.

A blog would be part of the content marketing strategy, so if possible then you should definitely have one.

Other than that, your marketing will require a complete strategy. Read lots on this forum, there's plenty of material here to help you build a sales funnel.

I think Blog will help you get better results in SEO. Not in Social media leads generator.
But... If you will generate really good content in your blog (not only SE articles) - you can get traffic from Social medias... But almost webmasters doing blog for SE only, buying content and don't worry about it.

social media driving works, numbers will vary day to day, i run adds across 30
FB seo groups around 2.5 million users , and average about 1000 clicks per
month , but numbers vary month to month

You asked a very wide question. You can prepare a complete commercial offer. Need to watch your site and social networks.
the main thing that I want to mention. A blog is needed for your site.

I have great results via tv marketing, no matter how much i push the products through the social media it always boils down to tv and radio advertising.

Having a clear and easy url is key for when the add is being aired regardless if that isnt your true domain as a simple url redirect will take them to the appropriate url you have and this applies to every language/country on this little rock we name earth. You will be surprised at how many will type the url to view the site..then its all about your product, if its good and within a price range market that you have targeted then your going to have sales, its that simple.

I thought TV and radio ads are already in past and only huge companies still buying ads there to promote their brand.
Is it not expensive too much in compare with IM?

Far from it..its a myth..if your budget is in place and you have a serious product then its all a matter of knowing the target group of the country , then you can switch from time of air time based on the channels platform. Its very similar to how internet ads work, infact , adsense and keywords are a breakdown of how tv air time is being sold. Lets face you will not air the ad during cartoon time on a channel but rather before or after the news or in between movies or late at night after the 12pm zone were things are normally cheaper. Ive ran ads at 4am for a specific product after researching when above normal pay grades leave the office for a specific area in a country and that translated to when they went home they switched on their business segment tv to view / listen to todays updates and thats were i plugged in the add. It performed very well and have subsequent leads. You can drill down what target you require by datamining potential ceo's or other upper positions within a sector by analyzing their online social interaction. When they offline that means they are more than likely to be watching/listening something other than being on the internet.

DataMining its what every single online platform sell's.

I completely agree, it's a matter of strategy and psychographics not so much about the platform although it's really important to understand your customer's behavior towards it.
@ixilcrypt I sent you a pm with some tactics you can use to generate leads for your business.

Start with a website and build it up threw time or make a blog of some sorts and hope it works out by adding all your general information about what your company is all about.

Facebook/Instagram lead ads are terrible in my experience, wouldn't reccomend them.
You only have limited elements to test, you can't use a quiz or survey to quickly filter the right prospects and generally people that don't end up in your landing page are less quality prospects.

I've had experience with IT and security companies, you can make a looooooot of money from Facebook and Linkedin.
Since the price is high, you need to qualify only potentially interested and motivated prospects and take things slightly slower.

1. Awareness -> Have an educative problem/solution awareness campaign (you can generate leads in this stage and qualify subscribers);
2. Webinar + Direct Response -> Retarget people that showed interest/Invite subscribers on your list to a webinar aimed to get interested people on a call and qualify buyers;
3. Follow up + Sales -> Follow up with the clients you need and sell them your services.

Check out Niel patel SEO blog. He gives amazing tips on generating organic traffic.
I am sure , you will found value. :)

Newspapers are also still great. Not much competition and the rates are affordable.

You should pursue the Inbound Marketing Methodology.

You have to create relevant content. Blog it, repurpose it and distribute it on social media. You should use Social Media for distribution purpose. The prospects should visit your blog via social media to read a valuable article. There, you should capture them as leads using Calls to Action and Landing Pages,

That's the outline.

This is really good question because there is vast difference between to get heavy traffic for your business & how to convert that traffic into leads here I have Strategies on How to use Facebook to boost business growth. Please share your thoughts.

1- Create a business page :-

Set up your Facebook Page with your brand name/product name and accordingly check the available username with which audience can search your business page easily. Set a unique identity to your business it is preferable to have the same username across all the social media channels and differ from duplicate pages. Preferred Profile Picture would be the logo of your brand as it represents the company’s/brand Identity.

2- Post regularly on Facebook.

Posting regularly and updating the business page gives an impact of your activeness. Post quality & relevant content. Social Media experts suggest posts that share behind-the-scenes information and photos of your employees and that shows off your products or services shows your dedication to transparency and quality.

3- Promote your Business's Facebook page.

What if you are active and creating great content but no one sees it? So the basic idea is to share your content as much as possible to reach the desired audience. Traditional marketing techniques can also help you grow your audience. Put your Facebook page Link in your email signature/business cards. It's also a good practice to include all of your social profiles on your website and any marketing materials you produce. With a simple and memorable Facebook URL, it's easier to promote.

4- Engage with Your Fans on Facebook.

Facebook's new algorithm favors posts and pages that create engagement. As per social media expert, businesses should interact with followers by responding to customers’ comments, answer their questions and concerns. Use your Facebook page for what it's meant to be: a social site. Get to know your customers' needs by hosting polls and responding to reviews.

5- Try Facebook ads to reach Potential Customers.

To reach the greater mass “Facebook ads” is the key. Promoted Facebook posts look like regular posts but are highly targeted and reach more people. Facebook's tools are very effective and make it easy to target a specific audience at a specific location (Basically your perfect target audience).

You can target your base audience, who like your page, by their location, age, gender, and interests. Because Facebook collects user data, and it can target your advertisement to those who are most likely to be interested in your product or service.
