And you think things will just fall in place with a streaming site? For a streaming site to make big money it needs very big traffic. To have very big traffic, you need big hosting.

Don't need to have big servers. for 100k visitors per day or around 700 real time users a $80 vps plus cloudflare is more than enough. However if you want to host your own videos and not serve embeds its a different story then you'll need to spend big.

don't get blinded by other people making millions with illegal shit. You can make the same and actually sustain it long term by doing legal stuff. If you want quicker buck, do what BTB suggests, abuse ToS of different platforms or create something that has value in the long run.

My initial money was from abusing ToS and we were very good at it in terms of revenue. But we were young and thought that why bother with pennies and then things got darker and we began doing stuff on the other side of the law. Obviously, I'm not gonna share what it was or how it went, but long story short, someone in our team left a footprint, got caught, we got linked together and it cost me pretty penny to get away with everything ( I'm not from US, so laws are bendable with enough money and connections ). And it was online based business for US market. Had to stay low for a while, had to ditch the team and, believe me, the consequences are usually worse than what you think they are.

Point of the story - you are only 16, you are definitely not as smart as you think you are and should you go that route, you will definitely make mistakes at one point or another. Especially if you can't manage growth properly. Growing too fast is just as damaging as not growing at all from my experience.

Take your time, learn something useful for the long run and don't get caught up with all that Walter White bullshit. It's not as glamorous as people might think.

This is great advice and I think will stick to abusing the fuck out tos since it’s better to learn from other people’s bad experiences than rather experience it myself and I kind of wanted to experience some kind of adrenaline rush and have some fun. Ok I sound crazy now

Are you planning on actually hosting the movies? If so, that can land you in some very hot water, not to mention the kind of hosting you are going to need to pull this off (bandwidth, disk space etc). If you are serious about it, you'd be much better off hosting just the links to other streaming sites. With a DMCA notice, TOS, privacy policy you should be fine with this.

There is very little advantage to hosting the movies themselves in terms of monetisation, but the legal trouble you could get yourself into is much much worse. You might think its cool and fun and exciting right now, but getting arrested and dragging your family through the courts isn't fun. Chances are you'd make a few bucks before the site got taken down, especially if you're getting a standard VPS from anywhere in Europe or America, they will pull the plug on you straight away if they receive any cease and desist letters.

If I was you I'd forget hosting the movies themselves, link to other streaming sites and then work very hard on driving traffic to your site, its a very very competetive niche.

Wait what do you mean link to other movie site

Think about all the file hosting sites out there (gorillavid, daclip, rapidvideo, vidnode etc etc), your site would simply link to all of those. You can have an enormous database of movies on your site all linking externally to these other sites. Your video player would simply be embedded and load the movie from an external site.

That means you aren't actually hosting any coprighted material on your website. With a good DMCA notice and TOS you should be pretty safe from a legal standpoint.
