My account got hacked

My account got hacked on oct 14th and i received email from Instagram about the same. In email it said that someone has changed my email and there was option to revert that change but that option isn't working. Instagram help center is useless.

Facebook should also be able to help you for Instagram. Once before Instagram had long waits, I reached out to Facebook for a Instagram problem and they solved it. They are the same company. It worth a try.

Just drop Facebook a line about your Instagram problem. From my experience there must be a Instagram team at Facebook. They will have someone help you.

There saying to contact instagram. And inst support is useless

Just try to login to your account. Since the hacker probably changed the password, just click on "lost password". You should now get a code via text/sms to verify it's you.

Enter the code provided by Instagram, and change password.

If you did not have a phone associated with your Instagram account, or can't get a password reset, you'll need to wait for Instagram support. No other way around it.

Next time, be more careful with your passwords, and don't click on links you didn't request.

If you have the original email, you can file a hacked account report. Goodluck!

I mean for 14 followers is it really worth the hassle? Unless of course you had personal DMs with family or business related

They do recover accounts if you can prove you own the original email. The main challenge is getting through to them.

and how do get in contact with instagram, there is no support for hacked accounts, everything changed.. email password username.
