You are going to learn about the basic philosophy on editing and software consideration.
I am not promoting the software given at the bottom of this thread,
neither I am giving any links for download / purchase.
A good edit is an edit the audience doesn't notice.
This means they are fully immersed in the film
and are not distracted or thrown off by bad editing decisions.
A few bad editing habits are:
Basic Philosophy of an Edit
The mainstream world of editing focuses around 4 editing software.
They all have similarities and are basically doing the same thing.
Some have established themselves in certain industries, countries,
and broadcasting institutions, and some have just always been there.
The programs below are the most popular software,
I suggest to use Premiere Pro for editing,
since most of the successful companies are using it.
With some researches you should find out which programs fits the best to you.
1. Adobe Premiere Pro
2. Final Cut Pro X (Mac based)
3. Avid a.k.a Diva
4. DaVinci Resolve

- Incorrect image colors

- A good editor can deliver the desired format and understands the basics of compression
- A good editor works with color correction and grading.
