I Just Dont Like MaxBounty Any More

Heres why MB took my money:

There was an advertiser who had a lot of $3 email/zip submits on their network. I beleive that over the month I promoted, they may have had as many as 20 distinct offers, all looking like they belonged individual companies.

This advertiser got in a big strop with ALL their traffic, and hired an external compliance team to check on where these leads were comming form. Anyone whose traffic showed any weirdness were not paid to MaxBounty. This would have included singups to more than one offer from an IP address, jobs, incentives, frames, ssms.

Now all of those are against the MB terms of service, so really complaining wasnt going to achive much - especially as a % of my traffic was outside of the accepted.

Yes its a complete bollix that ALL the leads were taken - but this was the advertiser not MB. Why should MB pay me if they didnt get paid themselves - thats not how buisness works - and i'm fine with that.

Personally I wouldnt touch another of those 'free ipod' offers on any network especially the high paying ones, other peoples mileage varies. On MB watch out for a three letter code at the beginning of the offer link eg: 'ORC Win Free Iphone' or 'PRC Win Two Free Dirty Knickers' if it has this three letter code - stay away - this is the problem advertiser. They may even have been removed totally I dont check that often.

IN SHORT MAXBOUNTY DID NOT RANDOMLY STEAL MY MONEY.

Told ya, they must of had a real good reason for doing those things. If you're legit you shouldn't have any problems with any network.

O RLY? There are scammy networks, and there are new networks which DO engage in these activities - MB is not one. Dont make a blanket statement that 'If your're legit you shouldnt have any problems' - thats naive. If you dont beleive me trawl the shitlist OR just read this single thread:

There is also the problem of advertisers being scammy and not paying the networks. There is a little more to this than simply good vs bad.

I am also thinking of using maxbounty as hearing good reviews of them. So I got the lesson "do it right and you'll get the money". Since you have used and experienced with them for a long time could you plz tell me which offers convert best? Are they offers(leads) or sales? I'm new to CPA and for the following months until the end of the year I'll learn as much as possible from this forum. Although I know that e-mail/zip submits do not do very well if you do it blackhat. Also which offers have a high chance for your blackhat tactics(if we use some) of getting paid? You can't cheat the e-mail/zip submits ones but what can we cheat???

Buddy - Steve reads this forum - so a discussion on what offers are easy to 'cheat' on maxbounty is not going to happen, it would be counter productive.

I would suggest instead of investigating cheating the offers with fake or useless info, you look into alternative traffic sources. Where has lots of people that are easy to market to? The beauty of this forum is its outside of the box thinking - it teaches to use more than traditional traffic sources.

Take a dating offer for example (i dont do these as there are better things to do with this traffic), the traditional mindset says that only single people need dating sites. BULLSHIT. How about if someone got a message saying that their partner was on SiteX looking for other women, do ya think that person might take a free membership? Take the normal assumed market place, set that aside, and look for any other reasons why someone would use/signup for that offer, then locate traffic and send it.

If you are sending real people to offers thats half your battle won, then its just matching what those people expect to see on the page with whats actually there - and NO not with iframes, but with creative explanations, clever sites, good reasons to be there in the first place etc etc.

I know man and I don't have to read any threads! I'm saying that for the networks that are a standard to the industry not some ones that popped up a week before...

Thank you man! I know this forum is read by Steve and I still don't know why the f***k I did that question sorry(maybe I'm a newbie). I'll try it myself to see the results. But can you at least tell me what offers(leads) convert best? I don't think Steve would have nothing against this. After all if we know what to promote best, more money for him and that's more money for us. If you can't share it here plz PM me.
I need this to create an idea of what I am going to start with as a newbie I am in CPA.

The fact is zen, I know you got it sorted out. But Steve "hires" people to answer questions aka be AM's. We shouldnt have to go right to the top of the chain to work out such simple stuff. If an advertiser pissed on leads network wide, then surely AM's would know the full back story. Hell they would have probably had a meeting about this issue and explained it all as im sure your not the only angry affiliate.

I barely use Maxbounty these days. But when i do, it goes good for a while. Then ill ask a question like "What happened to that person i referred" or "Can i do this and this and this with this offer". And quite often its put into the too hard basket and i either get no reply, a vague answer, or an answer that they dont know.

First off Maxbounty is one of the best nets when it comes to incentive offers they have a good variety.

Now if they (MB) suspect youre sending blackhat generated traffic:

1st: They wont do anything as long as none of their advertisers files a complaint against you in which case youll probly just get pulled off the offer.

2nd: The main reason they will hesitate to put you on weekly wires is because since most advertisers pay them at the end of the month and since the CPA is aware that at any given time the advertiser can deny them payment for your traffic (in case their already suspecting of your traffic) the cpa wont risk losing their money on you.


My personal advice is to spread the traffic around and not use MB as your main cpa in case your sending them mostly BH gen. traffic.
