Top-3 best messengers

There are so many messengers these days that it's hard to find the best one. So I decided to compare them and choose best 3 private messengers today.

1. Signal.

+ an open source code
+ end-to-end encryption
+ no access to user location
- mobile number is used for authorization
- IP address is exposed to operator

2. Ring

+ an open source code
+ end-to-end encryption
+ no access to user location
+ no personal info is used for authorization
- stores the message history

3. Adamant

+ an open source code
+ end-to-end encryption
+ no access to user location
+ no personal info is used for authorisation
+ doesn't store the message history

As it can be seen they are more secured than the messengers most of people use now. I mean Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger. I think their time had come to an end after appearing of these ones.

I think these are mentioned above not so secured as we think.
Developers have access to the data even if they say it's not like that.
Why to risk so much with data leaking when there is no privacy exist?

Do you know what does end-to-end encryption mean? It means that only the recipient and you have the special keys needed to unlock and read your messages.
So how do you think developers should access your data?
Moreover Adamant is blockchain based messenger, which means it has no server and as a result nothing to hack.
I wouldn't be so sure that "there is no privacy exist".

Do you really think that you will have your messages secured?
What about internet connection? If it's required for using this messenger, then it's already not provide any privacy.
So many hackers nowadays.
You must be aware of that before using such crappy apps.

Have you heard me? If someone wants to read a message he needs a key to decrypt it and this key is available to sender and receiver only. Even developers have no chance to read your correspondence.
Okay, if these apps are crappy then what would you recommend to use?

I believe there is no such a super messenger app that will provide full security.
Take a look at those you are mentioned.
They require phone number at least.
Do you think it still can provide you any privacy?
No way, mate!

Only one of them requires phone number for registration and two others don't require anything at all.
So I'm waiting for your suggestions. Or you don't use any messenger at all?

Unfortunately, a small percentage of the user base of the most popular applications draws attention to security. Telegram and Whatsapp applications have not yet reached the peak of popularity as FB Messenger. I do not think that people will switch to other applications in the near future.

It's not only about security. Facebook messenger is very annoying and uncomfortable in use, Telegram became also very unstable in its work and then goes a privacy question.. Which i also quite important. I don't feel comfortable knowing that some people may read my messages.

Is it comfortable to use so many messengers simultaneously? You can use only one and ask friends to switch to it in order to have all contacts in one messenger.

I really don't mind it and don't have the attitude of asking or requesting others do something like that for me. I'm everyone and it's not like I've got something to hide. But when I decide to care about my privacy, I'll start with Google and Facebook, not messengers.

I didn't even heard about these messengers, maybe Signal only. But I've heard about a presentation of a new Stealthy messenger which is also end-to-end encrypted.
When I tried to install it I got an error for several times. Moreover it requires email address that's also bad for an app that is considered to be secure.
So I deleted it in 5 minutes and returned to WhatsApp until I'll find something that I would really like more.

The author of the topic already mentioned the fact that if a messenger uses end-to-end encryption and if it's blockchain based - even developers couldn't access any of your information.
And as for Google and Facebook - they watch after every your step and collect everything!

Exactly, maybe that's why they're where they are today.
So, I don't really worry about privacy while chatting to friends etc.

I don't use messenger for connection with friends only. I have work chats there also which have to be protected and secure.
Sometimes I use messenger for a crypto transactions also and for that cases I want to find something really safe.

These messengers are certainly good in some respects, but do not forget that in reality there is not a worthy substitute for commercial products, and while we have to use the fact that it better solves the task. In our case, this is the most convenient, fastest and most importantly a safe way to communicate.

Stealthy is very raw for using. I can't even imagine why do people offer something that has to be worked on further. So I would not recommend Stealthy.
And as for WhatsApp I don't also think it's good enough as it's not very private.
