When people do crypto transactions through the messenger they prefer to be safe. Moreover some people need extremely safe messenger for their work chat as they have information which is better not to lose. And there are other reasons for privacy.
On the whole, I don't think that someone wants to feel that 3rd parties are watching him all the time.

Do you feel well knowing that developers scan all your correspondence and ask you for sending photos in order to prove it's you?
