I have spend about $200 dollars on Adwords for my website, but no sales :(.

Basically, I sell love dolls and I know for a fact that my prices are good and I frequently get compliments about how great the website looks. So why am I not converting?

I only use search words like [cheap love dolls], [buy love dolls], so am only receiving very targeted traffic. Only about 3 people signed up for the newsletter.

I'm a bit depressed to be honest. I expected much greater results. I worked very hard on finding the right suppliers and put so much time & energy into the website. I don't understand why nobody is buying. I need help & tips.

First of all, don't share your website on here.
I checked it, though... it may not even have been your campaign that went wrong, it just looks plain awful in terms of design.

And don't be depressed. If I were to guess your targeting was off, as there are far better options.
Only using targeted search words is like shoveling your grave, there's a reason why Google Ads offer you so many variations for keyword matching.

People want to buy those things anonymously, they are not so shameless. That can be a reason

How does it look plain awful??? It's a pro theme that I paid good money for. Maybe we have different taste. I don't think it looks awful at all. And most people I know genuinely think the website looks good. Maybe your bit harsh mate

It looks incredible empty. Don't mean to be rude, but I feel sorry if you paid money for it. There are free WordPress themes that look better.
I also believe the order of videos, pictures and so on can be organized in a better way. There's a certain thought process going through the head of your potential customers, sort of like "hey do you ever... -> here's our solution -> it looks like this -> wow, exactly what I need", but the way your page is organized kind of ruins that with its empty look and unorganized content.

If you need help with Google Ads you could send me a PM, I may be able to give you a tip or two when I have time off tonight.

Ok thanks for the feedback. I'm sure it can use improvement, but I just don't think it looks awful. I have seen websites in the same niche that look way worse then mine. Anyways I'll try to improve it. That's really great. I'll be sure to send you a PM. I appreciate the help.

Wasn't able to see your site, but it is important to have an optimized landing page to land users from your ad
Another issue may be is that your ads not targeted well

I've seen your website, IMO there are a lot of things that can be improved, I'll note some of them below:
  1. The portal doesn't look complete.
  2. By assuming that your main page is your landing page, The main page's layout isn't a good one.
  3. The product page doesn't showcase your products well. It's better to use larger images and put more products on each page.
  4. For this kind of website which user has to choose a product to fulfill his/her desire, the infinite scroll implementation works better.
  5. It's better to use the instant payment option inside the product details page, not in the cart feature.
As you're selling products which need to fulfill the buyer's sensuality; therefore, you're going to be better when it comes to design, your client might have some doubt in buying or not buying you have to make it easier and try to fulfill his/her requirements and prevent him/her to think before the actual purchase.

Thanks for all the tips. I tried to improve the website as much as I could. I personally think it looks great now. I just dont know jackshit about how to get decent traffic or about adwords. I think thats the biggest problem.

Try to imagine that the feedback that you received here about your site is actual feedback from the average visitor. Would you argue with them, or take the feedback as something of value that could increase traffic and sales?

Not trying to be a dick, but there is a lot of opinion from you as to why you believe that your site looks great. Try a different approach and don’t go on the defense when people share their opinion.

My 2 cents. Feel free to add your viewpoint.

I wouldn't say that I'm defending myself or trying to start an argument. I said thank you, I actually took most of their advice and improved the website to the best of my ability. I am simply stating my personal opinion and my personal opinion is that it looks great now. I know very well not everybody will agree with me, but you can't please everybody and if I personally think that the website looks fine (along with many other people who I asked to state their opinion) then I'm not going to keep fussing over it. I did all I could do to improve the website and I don't have the budget right now to hire a professional who will completely redo the website.

Love dolls? Is that what my dirty mind thinks it is?

Anyway, good prices or even lowest prices are irrelevant. How good a site looks or how many people compliment on it is irrelevant. Someone else said it was awful so someone is lying to you or maybe they were talking about how it sells rather than its looks.

What you need is a site that sells, convinces a visitor that what you are selling is what they need and to take out their credit card. You could have the most beautiful looking site but if you don't say what benefit the visitor gets in return, it's not going to sell. You can't just put up pictures. Even for love dolls.

You are not providing much information. Three people signed up but how many clicked your ads? If it's ten, that's not too bad. I'm sure you got lots of clicks so the problem may be that signing up for your newsletter is not apparent or clear. They won't sign up if they don't know what they are getting back in return. Or it just may be they are not interested. Same for shipping, if it's hidden, you are not making that benefit obvious, if that's indeed what people want in this case.

You are restricting yourself in reach by using only exact matches. Nothing wrong with it but I'd add phrase matches too.

You did not mention your Quality Score. That's a good indication of how well you are attracting clicks. Typically, better QS ads get higher conversion rates. Positioning is also a factor.

Nobody is lying. It needed some improvements yes, but It's not a bad looking website. I paid for a pro theme, I'm using woocommerce and I also fine tuned everything to the best of my ability. I wouldn't invest a lot of money in ads if my website was very ugly, so can we please drop that subject. I asked pretty much all of my friends (some of which are internet marketers) what they think of the website. I still value their opinion more than people I just met on a forum, no offense. Either way, I did all I could to make the website look good and I'm very sure that It's good enough after making the necessary adjustments today.

As far as convincing a person to buy my products goes.. Yes, I made very clear what they will get in return. I made videos, I wrote articles, landing pages, animation movies and so on.

My quality score is 8/10.

QS is 8. That's great and a good start. So the problem is more likely to do on how it's selling. You're just not convincing anyone that your product is better than competitors. Also, do you know the length of the sales cycle for this kind of product? When did you start the campaign? It could just be that the buying decision takes weeks after visiting your store.

Thank you. Yeah I think so too. I"m offering a unique concept that almost nobody is offering yet. Rather then focusing on using these dolls for you know what (use your dirty mind lol).. I focus on using them for the creation of erotic art (photography etc). I started the campaign about 10 days ago. Yeah could very well be. When I sold on e-bay a lot of people would buy after a month or so because they needed to save money. Still.. I do wish more people would sign-up for the newsletter.

Not seen the site PM it if you want and ill give a detailed reply. $200 on 2-3 KW if a fair bit if you ask me few thoughts (which you may or may not have done)

1. Did you send traffic to the home page, dedicated landing page or direct to a product?

2. Who was you targeting did you set a run time on / off - let's assume your targeting the UK to me running the adverts between 9am - 5pm might be a waste of time of I doubt someone is going to risk looking that stuff up while in work BUT I could be wrong id be looking to run the adverts more between 8pm - 2am - assuming this is sex doll browsing time.

3. Was browser and both region set so if you set just google uk you will target anyone who uses that search portal rather than people in the UK who use google uk..

4. Have you looked and compared at what your competitors are doing for similar keywords / where they go and compare the site side by side see what features if any your site is missing from the norm?

5. If your only targeting a small set of specific KW what are the traffic numbers on them? I always follow a 1 in 10 rule (it's not exact but its a way of looking at the law of averages) if you have a KW with 100 impressions 1 in 10 people will click thats 10 clicks, from 10 clicks 1 might buy / sign up / interact - of course Adwords is never this perfect.
