Stay away from new Like Jacker SCAM made by Michael Sherriff

Hey everyone,

I was scammed by Michael Sherriff with his new "Like Jacker" which should been released in the mid of August and now requested for a refund, but still got no answer. He is obviously ignoring me. So I would suggest you to STAY AWAY FROM HIM and HIS products. Spent $200 on it.

I was previous user of his facebook like jacker and G+ jacker that were being sold at this forum and I loved it, that's why i subscribed to his email list and then one day it just stopped working. Then in the mid of July I received an email from them, offering to purchase early cheaper entrance to the product. They promised to release the product after 30 days (mid of August), but it is not released even now. They did not accept paypal and that looked weird as we would not be able to dispute the payments in case of situations like this. All their sales pages are down, they stopped answering to my emails, so yeah it looks like they do not even plan to release anything lol, so stay away from them and save $200.

P. S. Is there any way to receive those money back? What should I do next? Contact bank/police?

I believe that there will be more victims, so I would appreciate if you could respond so that we would have a bigger case in one place.

If anyone need more proofs, i have saved all the emails too.

And as far as I'm aware hes based in UK so follows UK, and until at least 29th March 2019 EU law. It depends where you are based, also, what was the payment method?

If you bought by Paypal, do a dispute and chargeback.

If you paid by credit card, check out Section 75 chargeback.


Your rights under Section 75
Under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, the credit card company is jointly and severally liable for any breach of contract or misrepresentation by the retailer or trader.

This means it is just as responsible as the retailer or trader for the goods or service supplied, allowing you to also put your claim to the credit card company.

You don't have to reach a stalemate with the retailer or trader before you can contact your credit card provider - you can make a claim to both the retailer and credit card provider simultaneously, although you can't recover your losses from both.

This right is particularly useful if the retailer or trader has gone bust, or it doesn't respond to your letters or phone calls.

Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act also applies to foreign transactions as well as goods bought online, by telephone or mail order for delivery to the UK from overseas.


If you paid via BTC - You have probably lost your money.




The police aren't interested in this unless you can prove beyond reasonable doubt this was a company set up purely to defraud buyers. This at best would be a civil matter, so another option might be Small Claims Court, if you're in the UK.

Payment method was Stripe and he is using landings page via Kartra.
As I said in other thread I bought this too. I also didn't get any reply from him since his last email in saturday promising he will send us info on monday but nothing.
Very unprofessional even if he really has working tool.

I never got the impression that he was scamming anyone. I too paid $200 and have spoken to him several times about features and other stuff. Personally, I think the issue is that his time-table was unrealistic. There is a feature I was developing and the developers told me it would take a month. Three months later it still wasn't finished and issues came up that none of us expected. Some customers asked for their money and some just asked for the new ETA.

It's always annoying when something is delivered on time but that isn't the same as a scam.

If you do not want the product, ask for a refund. If you do, hang tight. I want it last month but I realize he is trying to accomplish what no one else has done and if it works as expected, it will be a huge benefit.

Ok, sales page is up again, received an update that they postponed release to the end of september, and just suggested everyone to ignore threads like this, but...

I have asked them to refund me my money 4 times and they have ignored all those requests. They just pretend that they do not see it. And this is in my opinion how scamming comes to play. They are taking us on granted and not even planning to keep up with what we want. They did not deliver on time, i dont trust them anymore, i ask for a refund, they ignore that request, and you are defending smacks like that? What if they will tell you that fb released new update and it is not working anymore again and that it was an investment, but everyone knew the risks? While it could been planned from the beginning. So you can wait guys, I dont mind that, but in my eyes they are scammers and it is not my problem they could not meet their deadlines.

If you do not know how to dispute a payment, I'm not sure you need to be using such a tool...

Did you not read his update on the other thread? I want it right now but if you have ever developed anything, you will understand that there are often delays. Keep in mind that NO ONE else has ever built this. I trust that refunds will be given if he cannot fulfill the request but I also realize the huge value it will bring if he can pull it off.

If I have a client project that's delayed, I let them know as soon as I'm aware of the possibility of a delay, not a week after the deadline has passed... Even if all I'm able to say is 'there's a potential issue and we might have to push back the deadline, I'll have an ETA shortly', keeping the client informed goes a long way.

I completely understand the desire to say nothing until you have a solid ETA, but clients aren't mind readers, and after weeks of no contact they're going to assume the worst.

Dude you are ether Michael, his relative or his friend. Your understanding about all this situation is just wrong.

If you want to wait for that product, go ahead and do it. It is up to you. But in my eyes, he is a SCAMMER and nobody can deny that. After last update, I have sent him 3 more emails asking for a refund nicely but I was ignored again.

It is NOT AN ARGUMENT that no one else has been tried to create a program like that, he promised that he has it already AND IT IS WORKING, AND THAT he needed just 1 month to release it. And now he is LATE, his COMMUNICATION SUCKS and there is no more trust left.

I don't get it how can you believe him so blindly lol.

Last time he just disappeared, why do you think he can not do that again?

Don't answer it, just think about it when you are defending him and potentially leading others towards bringing him MORE MONEY.

First - Nobody is defending them, they screwed up plain and simple. There will be a % of previously happy buyers who will be happy to wait 3 more weeks.
There will be a % who want a refund, which is understandable.

Far from the same. I'm sure there are 10,000+ people who file a Stripe dispute daily. Yet no one has every made the Jacker like he is making. How are those similar?

Funny how ignorant people look when they are wrong. I have been a customer of his for years and have exchanged several emails and my comments are based on the positive response I have received from him. Until someone posted his photo in the other thread, I thought he was an Indian (based on the last name). So no, I am not him, or a relative and I cannot call myself a friend since I do not know anything personal about him.

If you and I do business today in 2018 and next year in 2019 and then you come out with a new product in 2022 and people call you a scammer, shouldn't I defend you if I have no reason to think you are scamming? Same thing happening here. If I thought for a second that he was scamming people then I would click the link and get my money back.

Here is what I would do if I was Michael. If someone wants a refund, I would process it but once the product is out, I would charge them a premium to get the service. So maybe you paid $200 now but if you asked to be refunded and want to come back after it is live, I would charge you at least $400 if not $500. Michael, you should consider this so that users like SitraM are not causing harm to the development process.

This is a different scenario. If a single customer hires you to develop something, yes, you should be in contact with them each step as I am certain they would be paying you much more than $200. In this case, there are many of us who paid $200 and there was not an exact blueprint that we provided for him to build. I do not know the details of the hangup but I would never expect him to come back and say, "The reason for the delay is because we were using a firing pixel to trick the page into doing this or that and now Facebook using .jpg instead of .png and we have to change this and that."

If his developers are anything like many that I have worked with, they will give you a vague response. No one likes to admit when they are stumped while others are counting on them.

As for me, I will NOT be asking for a refund. The $200 I have paid is worth it to get the tool. There are plenty of avenues to get the money back if the product isn't released.

A paid customer is still a paid customer, even if they only paid $1.

I'm not saying he should disclose full details of the development, but silently passing a deadline is not something done by reputable businesses, and ignoring refund requests really isn't helping his case.

Based on your two recent comments, I'm starting to think that you have never raised more than $1,000,000 on a pre-product launch and haven't been in the same situation with unexpected delays. Some delays look minor and take days or weeks and some look major and then all of the sudden the developer realizes the issue and it's fixed ASAP.
