Hello everyone!

Hope all is well!

Just wanna share a quick method that I've used recently to some success and something that you could probably use to make some extra money. If not that, I'm sure you could get your creative juices flowing to spin this or twist it to make money. This probably isn't even a new method and probably has been talked about before, but I just wanna share my experience.

So, as I'm sure a lot of you have noticed, Instagram has really stepped up it's Sponsored Posts/Sponsored Ads deal. They display more and more and it is kind of annoying. Anyone with any kind of account, even a personal account by a 20 year old showing their lives or bodies, are able to create IG Ads to promote their account/get more followers/etc.

And THIS is what we're gonna work with today.

As I've seen these Ads, I noticed a lot of them (for various and obvious reasons) simply weren't working for the profile who created them. So I noticed a few and what I did was follow them/DM them and let them know I noticed their Ad. I tell them I noticed their Ad, was wondering what they thought of the results so far, and more times than not they weren't happy. In one day, in one sitting, I messaged 10 different accounts and I basically sold a different service to each, relevant to what they're doing.

I pitched some my experience with IG Ads and told them I could be their Ad Manager, I pitched some with my Social Media Management services, I pitched 2 on needing a .com website to help them grow their brand, and I pitched a few on a flat out Social Media Marketing campaign where I'd promote their account and get better results than their IG Ad campaign.

My results? Of the 10, 1 of them hired me to manage their Ads, 1 ordered a month-long Social Media Marketing campaign, and 1 of them ordered a domain/web-hosting through my affiliate link. That last one might very well likely also hire me to flat out do their website (as of course they can't/don't want to). I didn't hear from the others.

This was in one afternoon, just browsing and messaging these sponsored posts. What benefits you most is that you can pretty much see how the campaign is doing based on the amount of post likes, followers, engagement overall, etc.

The best part is, as I noticed, is that you can pitch them a garden variety of services! Social Media Management, Ad Management, Web Hosting affiliate, Web Design, probably SEO if you want, ORM services, a bunch if you really want. Of course you gotta feel them out and get a feel for their needs.

Conclusion: From this experiment, I made $405 exactly just from sending those 10 messages. $200 for Ad Management (monthly service), $100 Social Media Marketing campaign (can be monthly service, I go month to month), and $105 via the Webhosting Affiliate. So $405 in one afternoon just sending 10 DMs on Instagram. And the best part is, there's an unlimited amount of sponsored posts out there lol. They show up like 1 out of every 5 or so on your feed, plus sponsored stories. So there are LOADS of people to contact and depending on your skills as a salesman, you can pitch them on any one of your services you provide. It's all in how you pitch them and message them of course, but in doing this, and especially if I could, you could definitely make some money from this.

Could definitely see how you could make some $$ with the right wording/salesmanship.

How did you get them to trust you tho? Are you already semi-established in those fields?

This is a great idea, my convincing skills are pretty good. I will try this out and let you know how it went. Thanks for the share! :)

Oh yeah definitely, you can absolutely make some money with the right wording/sales pitch.

I honestly am already somewhat established in my fields, but what I do is combine my knowledge with casual discussion. What I mean by that, is that a lot of people will message someone with a pitch with an almost robotic sounding pitch that sounds copy-pasted or something, and doesn't form any form of personal connection with them. Their pitch sounds like it comes from a company (maybe) but isn't very personal, doesn't really attack their specific situation, and isn't engaging. I always say something along the lines of "hey whats up how are you" with some "I noticed your page via the Ad haha nice! Good stuff!!" and some "Lol yeah IG Ads can be unpredictable" or (depending on who I'm talking to) be like "Yeah, I saw your Ad, hope you're getting the results you want, IG can be funny AF". It all depends on who you're talking to. Gotta make it personal/establish a personal connection first. Identifying your target is prob the most important aspect of this. And not sounding robotic/adding some personality to your pitch.

Nice! That's awesome, definitely post back how it went!

I think the best thing about this IG Ads algo is that it provides you with A LOT of opportunities. Just gotta go after it! :)

Great method, This really proves money can be made if you wanna earn.

Amazing story and so is your result, 1 afternoon = $405.
So good. Congrats! :)

Thank you! Definitely pretty awesome and definitely very doable for anyone here. :)

Amazing! Are you going to scale it up?

Honestly probably not lol. I have a bunch of other ventures going on and this was more so an experiement.

Now, will I continue to occasionally message sponsored posts? Sure, especially if it looks like I could be of assistance to them and I have a shot of a sale. But I don't think I'm going to scale it or anything. I'll just continue contacting them randomly during off-time and see how it goes. Again, if done right, it can definitely make some extra money for you if you already provide these services. :)

Do you use your personal account or a company one when messaging them?

Nice method! Is the 200$ only for ad management fee? do you charge this amount whatever their ad spending budget?

In this example I used my personal account and directed them to my business IG.

Thank you! I charged this particular client $200/month and I do usually charge $200/month for that service, but it is best to of course assess the client and their needs and what would work for both of you. :)

What does the ad management entail exactly? Do you just create the ad for them?

Also, how do you collect the payment and do they pay you upfront?

It varies per each clients needs, but yeah, usually creation of the Ad, using the right hashtags, and overall management of the Ad campaigns. It's like Social Media Management (for me) except I'm only managing their Ad campaigns. I collect payment one of many ways but in this example PayPal and yeah you bet your ass they pay upfront lmao. Seriously though, I always get paid upfront.

Do you charge the with the ad budget include in there payment to you, or do they have to provide that seperately?

Wow, OP, I really like this method.
There are so many different ways you can twist it around, especially if you are reselling services or if you sell accounts.
This is definitely something I would like to try, thank you for sharing! :-)

They provide that separately. Again though, everything is client by client and is done at my discretion.

Gracias! Yeah exactly, this can be applied to lots of ideas and with lots of twists you can do here. In my opinion, pretty much any one of us here can utilize this to a project they're currently doing.

OP's method used to work surprisingly well on Reddit 1-2 months ago, too.

Yes! It still can work on Reddit for sure too. That's the beauty of it and of these new Ad algos; you can attack Facebook, Twitter, etc with this. The beauty of it is that no matter what you're doing (services, CPA, reselling, dropshipping, anything really) you can apply this marketing strategy.
