Forum on Subdomain or Subdirectory?

Hi guys,

I am planning to open a forum for my tech blog which is on WordPress but I am confused. Should I open it on subdomain or subdirectory? Any suggestion?

I'd go with sub-domain.

subdomain is recommended. talking from experience as word press blog seems to conflict with apps running on directory.

If you have wordpress installed on root domain and you intend using directory for another script, you may end up getting redirect loop to wordpress login each time you try to use the app installed on directory.

this issue was fixed when I installed the script on sub domain. so I will advice you use sub domain instead to avoid such in future
