One Page themes and SEO?

Quite curious but you know those wp one page themes you see on themeforest and what not?

Are they good for SEO?

In one page, they have it all about a business (About, Team, Contact, and etc. )

Personally, I think it best to keep these static pages separate e.g. (mysite.com/team, mysite.com/about)

Just though I'd ask.

Edit: Btw, Google did try to solve this problem by making AJAX crawler bots, but they ultimately gave up in 2015..

Thank you. I appreciate the links on this matter. It's amazing how SPA's can be a bit complex when it comes to SEO when it's supposed to be seemingly a simpler and more efficient way to display a site.

One solution I can think of is to make a normal website, and then do magic with JS (on scroll, internal link clicks etc). We could use JS to do partial template rendering (or simply get the whole page and strip off the output to what is needed to be shown) when an actual browser action is happening. Take this with a grain of salt though, I am not a SEO guy.

An even simpler solution would be to install Wordpress, and set the default homepage to the page where one is going to set up a "one page site." Most of the actual site content will be on that page. Then put the About, Contact, Privacy, etc pages on separate pages that the main page links out to. The blog function of WS can also be a separate link the home page links to, so end of the day you have a site that 'feels' like a one page theme, but has all the functionality of a regular site as needed.
