How Old is Old? (Domains)

Was wondering, what's everyone's thoughts on how old a domain is in terms of years before it's considered an older or aged domain?
Obviously in terms of 2.0's, PBN's and even money-sites - getting an older domain is better for SEO. So what's a good age when you're looking for the above 3?

For me, a year is already aged if the property has solid content. Age of a domain has little impact if it has nothing indexed for years and years.

for me an aged domain is just the opposite of new domain, and it is all relative. So if you have a domain and site which is 5 years old, indexed for 5 years and ranking for 5 years, this is considered an aged domain. Likewise 10 years and more are so to speak very aged, and very trusted.

most SEOs will agree it is better to get links from a 2 years old site versus 2 week old, this is how I would represent aged versus non aged, and then everything in between and beyond you decide yourself where you put the cutoff point, but it is not black and white;

for me, the older the better yes, and links from very new sites may not be worth much now; but they will a few years later, won't they? so acquire links today from a new site, and these links may increase in value and trust over time.

so aged or not is not a big deal, really; there are other factors that come first, such as the webmaster's quality, so to speak.

Ranking matters too but If you talk about aged then it should be more then One or two years old.

In my opinion, a domain is beginning to gain strength and index it relatively well after the first year of its registration. The second and third year are also of little importance, and then I do not see a difference between a 10-year domain and a 3-year domain. More importantly, how the domain itself was developed. (This is my personal opinion)

If you buy a brand new domain and it gets shown on popular front pages and TV it can be 2 days old and will rank no matter what.

For example, new movies when they come out, the official movie site can be a couple hours old and rank for anything related to the movie.

Best advice I learned here recently... Forget/stop using the term 'old' or 'aged' etc... focus on the websites/domains strength as far as SEO metrics go.

Onsite SEO... Traffic.. Time on site.. Bounce rate.. Engagement..

Social Signals... News Articles/Top Tier Backlinks Etc...

SEO isn't just PBN's and backlinks. Sure, we know that works. Though the next Kim Kardashian tweet about her latest butt tattoo that goes viral on facebook, Instagram and is all over the news is going to rank top bikkies in goggle.

this is a seo quistion and relates to your compitition domain, can not really be ansawed , going buy rules x2 the current comp domain age.

if there are 2 years go for 4 years .

if there are 5 years go for 10 years .

Considering the age of the domain a year of 1 or 2 is considered as old domain. Also remember domains should be properly maintained on a regular basis. This ensure their quality. There are even many domains with 10+yrs of age but lacks proper maintenance.. In this case age numbers alone will not provide better results.
