Stop gambling and work on something where you control more factors surrounding the outcome!!
On the platform I play in case like this the bet is cancelled and you get your money back. Happened to me before doing this method. Yes there is risk and I know it but betting on live events on odds like 1.05 minimizes it.So when a tennis player pulls out of the game injured but is winning 2 games to nil and 4 sets up in the final game......
As I said earlier, it's not just as simple as lumping bets on a short priced, in play event.
You need to understand the bookies rules for each sport, bookies have different rules sometimes.
One last minute upset game and you'll lose your money and need to bet 10x to make that back!
Stop gambling and work on something where you control more factors surrounding the outcome!!
Selling heroin?
Hey, thanks for sharing your thoughts. And I completely agree with you. I just started this thing because I was bored and I am sitting on my property here in Nicaragua with not much else to do. Tourism almost died here, so analyzing sport events and outcomes is a thing to keep me sane and active and I am not risking money that I cant afford to lose. Many people think it is stupid what I do and I respect their opinion, but right now I already got back my investment and am making around 15-20eur an hour which is not bad. It is not a to-become rich journey, just a test how far I can go.You won't get anywhere betting on 1.10 odds. 90% gamblers always bet on favorites. About the same amount of gamblers is losing money constantly. Play against the spread. Single bets, odds around 1.90. Keep in mind that 56% win rate is the magic number that will get you somewhere. Win rate of over 60% is pure gold.
I presume you know a lot about sports and you spend hours per day watching games and analyzing outcomes. The second thing you need is to be patient. Have enough in the bankroll and don't increase stakes. When you win 5 bets one after another, it's easy to get pumped with adrenaline and betting double or triple the money on the next game which will be a loss. Then you'll suffer mentally and you'll increase the stakes on the next game just to cover the losses. If you can win 10 games in a row, you can lose 10 games in a row.
But I'm sure you already know that. Are you willing to spend 10 hours per day analyzing games? Are you willing to have an unprofitable month, 3 months, or even whole season? If the answer is yes, welcome to sports betting world. It was my world about 5 years ago, and I'm glad I'm out. Not for me, I don't have the nerves.
Hi there BHW brothers. So I started a test journey on how to earn money with sports bets. I am a lifelong gambler and always check on odds in every aspect of my life. I was playing poker online, casinos and shady pub backrooms in my country for 2 decades.I was also playing blackjack and other casino games. The thing that brought me into gambling as the way of life was sport bets. I started with that as a young kid. Losing, winning was my way of life since then. The feeling of failure was as intense as the feeling of victory. Now I even dont know if I earned or lost money if I put it altogether. One thing I got from this is the strong sense of analytics. It might be an expensive lesson or not but I have it now. So lets get to the point.
Gamblers out there know about the odds. So better team is more likely to win the game right? Partly true. Lets take soccer or football(in Europe) as an example. Lets take two teams that we call A and B. The teams play a game today and the odds are 1.20 for the win of team A because it is a good team and it is their home game. Then we have a draw situation which has odds around 3.40 and win for team B that has for example odds 4.2. Most people would bet on the better team right? Yes most people do it and they win in most cases. I lost a lot of money with this method though. So what I did next was to pick sports there is no draw option like volley ball, tennis...with this I eliminated chance of loss. But still I bet on tennis player with odds 1.2 and I lost because he had a bad day or the game was rigged which is common in tennis.
So the point of this test that I started today is:
- eliminate chance of loss (picking right sports)
- invest money you dont miss if you lose
- bet on live events where you bet on team/player that has less than 1.10 odds to win
I Invested 140eur of my poker money and made 60 today out of that following these rules.
I repeat, it is just a test and maybe I am wrong...no earnings guaranteed but we will see in a few days...will keep you updated and answer questions here...
Thanks for the reply. Well I ended my journey because I multiplied my investment by 7x and now I believe it is time to quit because it wont go forever like this and indeed like someone said before, I am not mentally strong enough to handle it. I am ok to lose a bet but I would go mental to lose a 1.05 bet. So I quit. I will invest the profits into something that can bring money on the long term. I am really thankful for all replies who did not recommend it because after a few days I was a mental wreck without losing anything...so I got almost 1000eur out of 144 invested. Currently I am in a revolution destroyed country of Nicaragua and have a few ideas how to invest my profits. Thanks for criticism (it probably saved me) and thanks for the support.Funny that I found this thread, I was trying this just recently betting on baseball. I found it quite easy to bet on the O/U for each inning.
This method is tough to do mentally you really need some good self control. For example I had a night where I lost 2 bets in a row and
was about to triple my bet size to try and make up the loss (BAD IDEA).
I would say this method would work well if you have really good control over yourself and you aren't impulsive.
To scale just keep playing until you hit the maximum for a livebet for your sportsbook. Mine was about $250 bets on live O/U innings.
Once you hit the limits, get a VPN and open another account on the same book or even another book with the same live events.
