I’m a customer on BHW as much as a poster/contributer (at least in my head). As a prospective customer, the number ONE thing I look for in buying a service/product from BHW is responsiveness!

I don’t care to much about you awesome graphics (and they are truly awesome, truly) my main concern is communication.

Is the seller going to respond to my questions in a timely manner. That’s it. I will ALWAYS buy from the seller that responds. Hands down.

So to all of you who sell here on BHW be active in your threads, respond to emails, if the questions are too similar, write a FAQ, but still be active in your thread.

Thanks to all the awesome sellers who contribute.

(Ps posted in making money due to this being a major selling point for any business)

I had been able to seal a lot of deals this way. This also has an advantage that you will be there get to go guy when they need same services quickly in future. There is much more to this like you can judge whether the seller is a re seller.

I have some clients, who send me money and leave the order details. By the time they login or check their email again, the service/product is delivered from my side. :)

Thanks For Tip
i know you would think is obvious right? But the number of sellers I have tried to contact on BHW with ZERO response is what prompted this thread.

That’s a great feeling too. When you see your completed order all ready for you in your inbox! It def makes me wanna buy again and leave positive feedback.

You wanna stand out. Communicate.

I can vouch.. you have been excellent..

One may think that this is indeed just common sense, but sadly thats not the case. I simply cannot understand why someone would pay $100, then another $35 for BST and then will ignore his customers. What the actual .... sadly way too many sellers did not understand how important communication with customers is.

I agree with OP on this, but almost all the sellers I have bought from this site are pretty responsive already. Some of their services suck though lol. Most of them are standard, or above standard nevertheless.

If I contact a seller and it takes longer than 72 hours to respond.
You have a lot of patience, after waiting 2 hours, I am already looking for other options. 24 hours wait, out the door usually; but the exception is when this is a top service (or good price or both or good quality), so then waiting for days could happen and I still take it.

Agree with OP.
I have a bunch of repeating clients. ( most of them ask " if i can do this", even if its not my service. They know I will respond unless I am sleeping.

If you have good communication then you don't need to self "BUMP" your BST.:p

Bump can be useful for getting exposure to new clients. After you make your thread visible to them, it is all about communication and service.

Yepp the service part is damn important. Communication is one thing, but delivering a crappy service is a lot bigger issue!

I allow 72 hours in case of emergency and/or bank holiday weekends, but I agree that ideally they should respond in 24 hours.

Not really. Without good timely communication you wont get the chance to offer me your service, regardless of how great it is. And even if the service is crappy when the seller is willing to communicate you can get the things to work out in the end.

As I said in my initial post, it's undeniable that the communication should be good. I normally lose patience within 24 hours of the inquiry. No disagreement on that :)

Ya. When you see people complaining in the sale thread about lack of responsiveness in pre-sale questions, we know communication will not suddenly get better after payment.

Communication is the key to making most of the sales. I always respond to everyone no matter how long the emails/PM’s are. It makes the customer trust you.

But not only sellers. Also people that post something in HAF or WTB and then never respond. Is it so hard to write something like "Sorry, I've found someone else"? I take the time to write them, and I'm not worth their time to answer at least a one-liner?

I'm so fcking triggered by people that don't communicate properly.

I think it's quite disrespectful.
