play video ad before youtube video

I have a wordpress site that posts articles
some of them have also video mostly from youtube but also from other providers like vimeo

my question is if you could play a video ad prior playing the video itself

You want to play Your own Ads in a Youtube video, but on your website? If so, you can get it done with VAST but your Ad network must support that. So, this will look like: User visit your site > User click on Video on your Site > User will see in-video AD from you Network first > After that user will see Official Google/Youtube Adsense Video AD.

there is also elite video player wp plugin, maybe i 'll give it a try
