Does EPC means my earning if one person clicks on the link that i am promoting

Cost-Per-Action (CPA) - This is the rate/fee that is set for every action that is taken by on visitor which is promoted by an affiliate. This usually refers to, by not limited to, Pay-Per-Lead and Pay-Per-Sale transactions. CPA, as Cost-Per-Action usually corresponds to Pay-Per-Lead while CPA, as Cost-Per-Acquisition usually corresponds to Pay-Per-Sale.

Earnings-Per-Click (EPC) - This is a metric to measure the effectiveness of being able to turn a click into commissions.

Formula: EPC = (Clicks/$Commissions Earned)

* Note, come companies, like Commission Junction (CJ's) change the definition slightly. In CJ's case, EPC refers to earning per 100 clicks.

Formula: Commission Junction EPC = (1/100)*(Clicks/$Commissions Earned)

Divide your total payout by number of clicks. It's basically a metric that tells you how much you're making per user click on an offer. If 20 people click on a link and one converts for $40, your EPC is $2. Even though the rest of 19 users didn't convert, you still needed those 20 users in total for one to convert. It helps you when looking at paid traffic campaigns, where a click costs you $x and earns you $y. Note that the EPC number is unreliable unless it was with significant number of clicks, depending on the type of traffic. You need more clicks on a pop campaign as compared to say, facebook ad campaign.
