can i dispute this designer work?

Hey guys, i need your help to understand who is right and who's wrong.

Some time ago i hired one of bhw designers to do some work for my website.

order was new design (re-design) for my opencart website which is aged, established site. It was first designed years ago and needed fresh, modern look. Being up for many years website has a lot of customs coding done and is not default opencart site anymore.

I paid designer $4000 for website re-design, he sent me all previews and i approved them.

Now it turns out coding part he did for design was for default opencart site and not for my site and accordingly to my website functionality.

I ordered existing website redesign, but got delivered opencart theme for new website.

He say i never mentioned that i want to keep the current code.

No i did not mention anything about codes, i simply said i need new design for my outdated website.

Provided the deal started on BHW if you can't come to an agreement and resolve this between the both of you, then a SL is an option.

We need to see 3 things ( Obviously with any private/personal details blurred / removed );
Conversations showing where the deal started, what it involved and price.

Shitlisting a seller here helps in more way that you can imagine. 1) It helps stop the seller from scamming others, 2) If the seller get business from BHW, he won't risk getting his thread and his account banned.
